The only thing I could get at a supermarket because of Norway’s stupid alcohol monopoly. Clear as day. Bright gold. Big, creamy head. Slightly grassy aroma. Taste is a bit sweet.

Golden with white head. Cereal, caramel and cardboard. Sweet, floral, spicy and wet dog finish. Overall: wet dog.

33cl can from Meny Bjølsen, Oslo. Pours pale golden with a small, white head. Fairly grainy aroma with some hints of honey, fruits and hops. Moderate sweet with mild flavours and a very light bitterness. Far from exciting, but not the worst pale lager in stores.

2.5
smmaaren (588) - NORWAY - AUG 15, 2015
50 cl can from Coop Extra. Pours golden with a small white head. Aromas of malt and grass. Medium carbonation. Taste is bittersweet. Refreshing but average pale lager.

One of the more decent light lagers I tried on my beer tour of mediocre Norwegian lagers with Paul and Armin during the Lofoten trip in 2015. A little sweeter than Nordlandspils.

Nonshaugen (634) - Fetsund, NORWAY - AUG 3, 2015
Just another of those filtered, mega-company, industrial pale lagers in a can? Well, to be honest, this stand out from the crowd a little bit. Malty aroma, slight smell of hay, close to a horse blanket. Medium carbonation, watery sweet mouthfeel with a taste that is more malts than hops. It may be just bittering hops in this, and no aroma or flavouring hops. Prefer this one over the vast majority of similar beers at the grocery stores, just because it has a Taste, and the others taste piss water, if anything at all.

50cl. from [email protected] Gamle Major, Oslo @approx 7 degrees C. Pours a clear golden colour with small white head with sufficient retention. Sweetish aroma of malt, grain and grass. Taste also dominated by sweet malt with very subdued hops and a light to medium body. Not remarkable in any way and too sweet a tap lager for my taste.
