Brewed by Ringnes, who took over and closed traditional Oslo rivals Frydenlund many years ago. Frydenlund's yeast was allegedly preserved, and revived in this pilsener with its "characteristic rich and rounded flavour".

Can. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Short very light bitter finish. Watery palate. Tasteless but then again not bad!

Rune (13182) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 4, 2010
500ml green can, 4.5% ABV, bought at my local Prix store. Clear golden body. Initial rocky, white head, quickly diminishing but leaving rings of lace on the glass. Pale malts to the nose. Clean and weak tasting of grassy hops and malts. Short-lived bitter endnotes. Semi-dry on the swallow. Rather lively carbonated. Alright with the food (shared with Eva, Tromsø 20.02.2010).

Nordcore (1577) - Lyngen alps, NORWAY - FEB 23, 2010
Can 50 cl. Golden, clear with a small white head. Aroma; malty with a small hoppy sence. Flavor; Malt and some corn with a dry light bitter ending.

gunnar (9322) - Sandnes, NORWAY - OCT 13, 2009
On tap in Oslo.Comes straw coloured with a minimal white head, weak aroma of grassy hops. Taste is much more watery, sweetish, not much hops in action here.

fobar (241) - Søgne, NORWAY - SEP 24, 2009
Standard non-interesting commercial lager with no specific taste other than mass production...

carruthm (1401) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 15, 2009

estpiwo (1319) - ESTONIA - NOV 20, 2008
Canned. Golden color. More hoppy aroma than some other beers from Norway. And in flavor feel hops too . Not bad.

garza (574) - Oslo (NO), Caracas (VE), VENEZUELA - SEP 14, 2008
The beeer of Oslo. Very cold i s refreshing and also can be pleasant. Slightly bitter taste with a weak hoppy aroma. But, I have to say, one of the good ones in Norway. Worth the try.
