On draft at Fuchschen Brauerei, Dusseldorf. Aroma: A bit sulfur and diacteyl. Well balanced bitterness. Palate: Quite watery. Nice head. Not a favourite of ours.

MikeBeermaster (1080) - that shaggy maggot, POLAND - DEC 6, 2017
Tough aroma of sulfur with notes of malty base. Dark copper in the glass with a medium head. Taste is harshy with some notes of fruits, nuts and sulfur in the kind of burned match. Not really good, definitely I had a bad luck while finding this one.

MatusBeer (806) - Košice, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - NOV 30, 2017
Tap in Duseldorf. Amber colour with stable head off. Aroma of caramel, malts. Taste is malty, caramel, herbs, spicy.

biir (1632) - Berlin, - NOV 19, 2017
Bottle from Hopfen & Malz - clear copper color, white head. it's an easy alt, low on roasted malt, low on carbonation, high on drinkability. medium bitterness. okay.

rayaron (2011) - Kfar Saba, ISRAEL - NOV 15, 2017
Bottle at Dusseldorf. Clear pale copper with creamy beige head. The aroma has notes of wood, caramel, earthy, rotten fruits and vegetables. Bitterish flavor with notes of caramel, spices, vegetables, herbs, lemon, some nuts, earthy, sourish. Medium-bodied. Very nice.

ippopotamo36 (2580) - Rome, ITALY - NOV 8, 2017
Gravity keg at the source in Düsseldorf (Germany). Clear proper amber pour, frothy irregular off-white cap. Nose: mild honey and caramel, very malty. Mouth: softly sweet, sweet honey candy.

Piepenhenrich (1247) - Steinbach, GERMANY - AUG 30, 2017
Being brought up on Altbier I cannot be regarded as 100% objective, But this is one of the top Altbiers in Düsseldorf (the only place to find the real deal). Good to drink from the bottle (now available in handy 0,33l bottles), best of course from the tap in the brewhouse.

kraddel (9166) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - AUG 29, 2017
Tap at the brewpub. Pours medium clear, very dark copper. Good white head, very stable and fluffy. Smell is malty, caramelly. Taste is sharp, rather bitter , not newrly as malty as expected. Bit metallic , mild grassy to herbal notes from the hops, but not a hoppy beer. Ok

japppp (174) - FINLAND - AUG 13, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 13, 2017 50cl bottle, thanks to german santa ESSS17. Pours clear hazelnut brown with medium white head. Aroma has roasted malt. Taste is full bodied and malty. Very clean and enjoyable.

tonyferrari (33) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - AUG 12, 2017
Served on tap. Clear copper colour. Thick lasting off-white foam. Slighty herbal aroma. Malty and roasty flavour slightly overwhelmed by the bitterness. A bit of a harsh aftertaste which makes the 4.5% Abv seem higher. Medium-light body and medium-low carbonation. A good altbier.

phfyysik (1463) - Tartu, ESTONIA - AUG 4, 2017
0,5l bottle, ABV 4,8. Pours clear caramel brown with medium thick off-white head. Aroma is raw liver, meat market, floor cleaning cloth, old water, some old vegetables, potatoes. Taste is caramel, some sourness, light grass, flat, some tropical fruits, mango, citrus. Good taste, but bad aroma.
