This one was definitely a beer that surprised me & went down far easier than I'd expected, particularly considering how little I've enjoyed pretty much ever other rauchbier that I've tried. The nose & taste thankfully weren't as pronounced or overpowering as I'd anticipated, there was a lot coming through but it seemed more balanced with this one & the bread malts helped things in that department too. Further on & some earthy malts made a surprising appearance which helped this one to become the only rauchbier I've managed to finish & it's by far the best of the style that I've ever tried too.
Aroma is lots of ham. Which i hate. Some bready malts as well. Taste is some sourness but the bitter salty ham has it all. Also kind of watery. Not for me. mrjez (660) - Osaka, JAPAN - AUG 18, 2016
On tap at Doutonbori. Amber-brown with a large white head going nowhere. Smoked ham and bacon aroma, pretty gentle, sweet caramel malt. Flavour is similar, umami, meaty feel. Light brown. Has a big smoky aroma. Lots of smoke on the palate, toasty malts, full body, pretty good balance.

Fall Keyaki 2015. Dark brown with a beige head. Bacon with maple syrup, caramel, roasted malt, cacao nibs and prune. Taste is sweet and smokey, but not overly sweet by any means. The finish is dry and smokey. Very enjoyable if you like smoked beers. skatanarchy (212) - - MAY 18, 2015
후지벚꽃고원 브루어리 - 라우흐 5% ABV 비릿하게 올라오는 가쓰오부시향. 몰트를 훈연한 목재의 원료를 가쓰오부시 훈연에 사용하는 것과 동일한 것으로 사용한 모양이다. 콧속을 도는 쾌락에 집중한 훈연맥주
거품은 없지만 안에 남은 강한 탄산감, 고동색의 엑체를 잔에 따를때 확실히 풍겨나오는 훈연향. 스모크 프로세스에 집중하느라 다른 부분은 상대적으로 튀지 않는 편. 라우흐 맥주들 중에서는 스모키함이 약한편에 속한다.

Pours dark brown, witha beige’ish white head. Aroma is thick with leather belt and smoke. Meaty bacon with some dark malts. Taste has some more smoke, prunes and dark fruits. Body is not very strong though, giving soon way for a longer smoky-malty aftertaste. Quite nice and definitely a great beer to try if you like smoke beers.
