COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We hit this full bodied IPA with “nookie” four times during the brewing process to give this ale its trademark Chinook hop character. We then “dry nookied” this flavorful ale to further enhance its grapefruit and pine aroma.

pours with a slight haze and deep amber colour.Aroma of hops, citrus and pineapple. It does show a bit of funk. On the palate it is fairly hoppy with a bit bitterness, resin and some pineapple. Decent legnth but a water mid palate. Meh, i’ve had worse. glad i tried it.

Burnt orange with off-white head and some lacing. Pine is predominate, but do get some citrus notes as well. Very dry at the end and extremely bitter, a bit too much so. Still decent IPA though.

Pours a medium golden color with white head. Some citrus, grapefruit definitely, and a little pine and grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a little resinous hop flavor.

Pours a light amber into the glass, with a wispy head that leaves spotty lacing. The nose is of pure spruce-pine trees. Flavors, piney bitter and resinous all the way through, have plenty of orange and grapefruit citrus with a light caramel malt backbone that finish with strong Chinook hopping. Hopheads may rejoice here, absolutely! The mouthfeel, juicy with lingering "wet hop" bitterness, provides a nice quaff that is hop-forward and assertive to the palate. With a tad more malt substance, this could really take the traditional "West Coast IPA" to the next level, because 90% of it is already in place. Can’t wait to see more from this brewer. A super great start for me, for sure!

The chinookie is good. Tasty dry hopped and great character this beer had. It’s my style. Pours a nice golden amber color and has nice lacing as you enjoy the glass.

This poured a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma was citrus Hood. Flavor was similar, earthy and a little dirty.
Earlier Rating: 5/23/2010 Total Score: 3.2
This poured a bright orange/amber color with an off white head. Aroma was bittering hops and some light citrus notes, also some toasted pale malts as well. Flavor was well balanced malt and hops, but certainly nothing to make this one stand out as a bitter/good IPA, easy drinker though.
