Bottle to glass mug. Pours a cloudy brownish orange with a off white head. Great aroma of grapefruit & citrus. The flavor is heavy on the pine / grapefruit spectrum. Not much malt character to this. Unique IPA.
Had this from a bottle when visiting Stefan in Philly. Pours a slightly cloudy dark amber with a short-lived head. Malty nose. Rich hops and dark caramel malt with strong grapefruit and light pine notes. Moderately bitter finish. Rich mouthfeel with 7.1% alcohol and it feels like it in your mouth.

Really like this bitter but not too bad on alcohol volume IPA. Smoother than most I’ve had. solidfunk (9741) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - SEP 20, 2016

The Butcher and the Rye, tap: pours clear amber with a white head. Atoma is pine, light citrus and heavy malt. Taste is relatively bitter. Kind of malty. Not a bad IPA bit most definitely old school. MadRobin (2989) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - JUL 20, 2016

On tap at Industry. Pours a hazy copper with small off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is pine, dank, resin. Medium body, grapefruit, pine, lingering bitter finish, good. jsporrer (1147) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 20, 2016
Pours a clear deep amber with a medium head of white foam. Not much flavor and a bit harsh. Not that enjoyable. Voodoo (716) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 30, 2015
Pours a hazy amber with little to no head, looks a bit like a homebrew which can be a good thing.....aroma of malt sweetness, sugars, touch of pine.....taste is heavily hopped in bittering, fair mouthfeel, fig, pine notes. A nice change of pace to the grapefruit juicers.
