Surprisingly good bourbon barrel aged beer. Great balance for the style. Not sure how available this beer is, or the cost, but I’d search out some more.
Nice rich dark malt. Taste is of dried figs, and slight dark chocolate. Not too thick. Not too boozy for a 11% Ewr. beastiefan2k (4033) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JUL 2, 2017
12oz capped bottle. No date. No idea what brewery this is. Black body, mediun tan head. Aroma had lots of barrel and spicy rye. Very woody with lots of spicy rye. Woody dry black malts. Lightly evaporating alcohol. Dry. Flavor is similarly dry but not acrid black malts with bitter malts and strong spicy elements. No strong alcohol. Very drying and not big but alcohol present. Poured from 33 oz. growler.
Opaque, brown-black with a thin, fine tan head and good lacing.
Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, licorice and pumpernickel.
Taste of dark bakers' chocolate, black licorice, roasted malt, rye and whiskey.
Full body and low/medium carbonation with a rich mouthfeel.

Pours a dark mahogany brown with a thin tan ring. Medium carbonation with plenty of lacing. Very pleasant roasted malt aroma. Medium body. Starts out smooth with a roasted flavor followed by some earth and wood notes. Finish is a bit dry and lightly bitter. Hides the alcohol well. OK but not great. vipinvelp (4505) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - JUN 5, 2016
Trade w/ Mark. Dark ruby, towards black. Light brown lacing, lasting foam head. Strong roasted aroma, whiskey tones. Nice whiskey notes in taste, light chocolate, bitterness and reasted coffee. Decent drink. (Velp 201606)

This has been one of my favorites, and definitely the best brew Full Pint makes, IMHO, but it’s different every year. This is the year of chocolate. Seriously, it’s the dominant flavor now. I don’t mind a cocoa-brew now and again, but it’s disappointing that this previously balanced brew has gone so far in one direction. deyholla (11910) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 16, 2015
Bottle. Pours near black with a thick brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a good amount of roasted malts with a bit of bitter dark grain and a rye whiskey bite supporting. Flavor has a nice combination of roasted malts and rye whiskey with a bitter, dry dark grain backbone. jackl (8271) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 16, 2015
Bottle thanks to Deyholla. Deep brown pour with a prominent creamy tan head. Nose is spicy as rich. Rye and toasty cereal. Some pepper. Dark chocolate. Rich and supple body. Mellow spice and sharp dark chocolate. Wood and Pepper. Light caramel. Nicely executed. Substantial without being flabby. Alright. wchesser (2110) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 13, 2015
Bottle from flandersned-thanks, Steve! Dark brown/black with translucent edges. Nice nose of roast malts, smooth whiskey, bakers chocolate. Taste follows with fairly bitter hops. Solid if not that complex. BroadestTom (446) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 26, 2015
