22oz bottle. Roast malt aroma dominates with the slightest German hop bitterness. Clear mahogany with a small tan head. Rich sweet flavor with a mellow bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a soft creamy mouth feel. Good beer, the only problem is that for less money you can get wonderful German brewed Doppelbock’s. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 7, 2009
Poured a clear light amber with a frothy head.
Smelled of slightly under cooked fish and shame. Wait... ....sorry, that was the stripper that left her stink on me from the night before. Not a hole lot i’;m getting in the scent department.
Taste is fairly bready, nutty, with a little bit of an earthy yeast.
Flavors are not cloying, I had this with BBQ for lunch and it was actually a good pairing. Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - MAY 2, 2009
Pours a rich amber color with mild lacing after beige foam disappears. Full malt flavor with a bitter aftertaste. Taste and smell of caramel, and molasses. Overall a decent 21st birthday celebration. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 28, 2009
Bomber. Poured translucent medium amber with a short-lived, swirly dusting of off-white head. The aroma gave notice that this was a big beer with estery alcohol over drawn caramel on the fore.. some earthy hops as well, but the heat almost gave a malt likka feel to it. The flavor was a bit more enjoyable with aged caramel and a pinch of honey supporting earthy and grassy bitterness.. quite warm around the edges as well with peppery alcohol riding through the finish. Medium-plus bodied and strong on the palate with OK balance.. nice spices on the back, but it was just too hot. yobdoog (1888) - Kingston, New York, USA - APR 8, 2009

Thanks to dchmela! Pours a dark and cloudy amber. Aroma is caramel and dark fruits. Flavors follow, with a ton of caramel and a sticky and thick mouthfeel. Fairly good. dchmela (3078) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 28, 2009
Bomber courtesy Douglass88. Dark brownish red pour with a thick tan head. Big caramel malt, toffee, dark fruit and citrus hop aroma. Smooth malty taste with touches of toffee, dark fruit and well balanced hop bitterness. Very big aroma that downshifts to a very smooth and balanced taste. Very good. 22oz. bottle. Aroma of sweet, darkly toasted malts, some toffee, walnut, raisin and faint cocoa. Dark copper-brown in color, clear, with a lasting, very fine head. Flavor profile is mildly bitter to start, turning sweeter and a bit fruity, with plenty of dark malt sweetness, toasty, bready grains, mild chocolate and hints of woody hops. Some fading vanilla on the finish. Silky smooth mouthfeel, body is medium-full. Good Doppel, dangerously easy to drink. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAR 21, 2009
Bottle thanks to ditmier: Pours a transparent dark copper mahogany with a thin, spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet toasty dark caramel German malt and a touch of noble hops. Body starts with good sweet caramely fullness and some toasty character and dark fruit complexity with some bready yeast. Very true to style and enjoyable. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 18, 2009
Copper almost brown pour with off white head and lace. Light toasted malt with a hint of brown sugar on the nose. Semi sweet malt and brown sugar with a light/medium bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A beer I liked very much.
