COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So here we are 25 years later. Very humbled, grateful, and amazed that we got here in one piece. Still a mix of beer geeks and boardheads. Still independent. Still trying to find that perfect balance between art and commerce, work and play, inspiration and perspiration. Thanks for supporting us for all these years, and next time you’re in Hood River, stop by for a beer.

PorterPounder (7970) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 29, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - Earth Fare - 22 oz bomber. Sparkling dark copper pour, thick bubbly off-white head. Sweet aroma of raisins and molasses. Flavor has the same sweetness with some solid prune notes, some dates, a pinch of molasses and brown sugar. Mouthfeel is rich and. Make a good winter bellywarmer on a cold night. Happy 25th to one of my favorite breweries!

Shink (177) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 29, 2012
Out of the bottle from Safeway. Pours a dark amber color with a thin, white head. Smell is very malty. The taste is malty with an alcohol aftertaste. A little sweet for me, but still ok.

after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Draft at sb. Pours a hazy medium amber with a dense and creamy tan head. Big sweaty feet nose with oranges and spruce. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Oranges, caramel, and light mintiness on the mid palate. Long tangy footy finish.

dmac (6264) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - DEC 25, 2012
22oz bomber from Spirits Middletown. Poured an unimpressive deep orangey/amber with a small to average sized foamy off white head. Aroma of dry vanilla candles, old wax, slight nut shells, dry toast, old dried out flower petals, old English toffee and bad caramel. Medium to thin bodied with a watery mouthfeel and average carbonation, a very dry finish. Flavor is a slight step down from the aroma, notes of dry vanilla, toffee, caramel, bad toast and old tea bags. Meh, unimpressive.

jcnielsen (3412) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Bottle. Thanks to adnielsen for sharing. Pours a reddish-brown color with white head. Kind of weak aroma of malts and caramel. Alcohol kind of dominates the flavor too much. Also a little tangy, with caramel and malty notes. Not a huge fan of this one.

cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburs Fort Collins. Pours a bit hazy, darkish orange appearance with an off white head. Bubblegum, spice, toffee, chewy caramel cookie aroma- a bit odd. Tangy, a bit spicy, weird fruity, chewy yeasty, bready, dull caramel flavor. Bleh.

philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 21, 2012
70 IBU’s. 22 oz. Bottle purchased for$6.99 + Tax at Ballard, Seattle Fred Meyer. Fizzy mild lace quarter inch off white head. Clear bright rich amber color. Mildly floral caramel malt mild Saaz hop front. Medium bodied rich caramel malt mid fruit ester rich smooth lager body. Subtle sweetness and hint of peppery hop resin. No sediment, but somewhat odd fruity mildly bitter mild EtOH heat end. Rich odd brew. Not a Full Sail Classic. (2.75 / 5.0).

Dorwart (2590) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Moderate head of off white and small bubbles. Kind of a weak aroma with some light sckly sweet malts and vegetal aromas; maybe some squash. Color is a ruddy reddish brown. More malts and roasted grains in the flavor with a hint of caramel and some spices. Not sure I would really call this a dopplebock. Bit of hops presence and a dry pasty bitterness at the finish. Light alcohol presence for a 9% brew. Strange brew to devote to their 25th anniversary. Probably would not try again.

3.3
Headbanger (3999) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - DEC 19, 2012
22oz bottle 12/19/12 (Whole Foods-AUS)-40° in Mug-Pours a murky amber with a huge off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, hops, and roasted malt. Taste of the same with more caramel and slight alcohol. This medium to full bodied brew is well balanced and goes down smooth. Nice brew.

3.1
savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - DEC 18, 2012
22oz bottle. Clear golden, amber with a thick, dense, khaki head. Aroma of doughy malt, apple cider, fruity esters, herbal tea and alcohol. Flavor is sweet doughy/bready malt, fruity yeast esters and light alcohol. Medium body with a soft mouth feel. This doesn’t seem to lager-like, lots of yeast esters and slightly under attenuated and hot.
