dark brown, brown head. quiet chocolate malt nose. malt has some roughness especially across the middle and back when the carbonation creates a small burst of vitamin-b / aspirin / chalk before settling down into a medium-strength roasted barley, oats and coffee. harsh and fizzy texture is it’s downfall. Tap @ Full Sail River Front: Pours a dark mahogany color with very light head and carbonation. The nose is malty with lots of dark caramel malts and not too much in the higher lovibond malts; plenty of high lovibond caramel, carafa and chocolate malts. Very light hops or sweetness in the flavor. Moderate body and a salty, slightly acidic mouthfeel. The malts are interesting; more like Hair of the Dog Adam or a odd wine barrel aging flavor, very earthy and rustic. I might even go as far as to call this an old ale style. Very interesting.
