Bottles. This is a good ale in its style. More malt than hop, but not sweet. Hops balance that out, but don’t bring much flavor (certainly I don’t detect Cascades). Slight choco-roast. Still, not quite as rich and creamy as it could be.

Bottle from Total Wine, South Richmond. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is floral, caramel, nuts. Flavor is roasted caramel, nuts... slightly sweet, pretty good. Surprisingly better than I envisioned. ruigo (3074) - PORTUGAL - JUL 18, 2017
33cl bottle. Clear amber with a small off-white head. Nuts, caramel and biscuit. Nice. Idiosynkrasie (7628) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 23, 2017
355ml bottle. Clear, dark amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Floral-herbal-spicy hoppy aroma, hints of menthol and peppermint, minimally chococlately, malty background with a chocolate cookie touch. Taste delivers an identical combination of flavours with an additional touch of lemon in the hop profile. tricksta_p (4765) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - JUN 9, 2017
Bottle from a supermarket in Oregon. Aroma is sturdy caramel malts, notes of toffee and ripe fruits with a hint of hops. Flavour is almost medium sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Agreeable American Amber with a bittersweet finish.

Amber leaning towards brown with a thin cream colored head. Toasty malt aroma. Flavor is nutty - raw almond, with a nice rounded malt sweetness. Some balancing bitterness as it finishes. All around pleasant if perhaps noncommittal. I remember the good old days when there was just a happy hint of diacetyl. scoth (685) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 20, 2017
Pours clear amber with a thin beige head, low retention. Aromas of toffee, toast, nuts, with a light earthy hop note. Medium body, smooth, moderate carbonation. Lightly sweet, a hint of tartness, and a moderately bitter finish. Enjoyably
bitter and nutty, but I’m not usually a fan of the style and this brew doesn’t do anything to change that. biermanny (1) - - JAN 6, 2017 does not count
great example of a good full bodied ale, good amber appearance and aromas when poured. Nice on the palate with a mild hoppy taste gripweed57 (2594) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - SEP 2, 2016
12 ounce bottle. Pours a deep copper color with a small tight beige head. Rich toasted malt nose with nutty tendencies. Flavor follows the nose with additional notes of caramel and mocha. Spicy hops come through and offer a nice balance to the sweet maltiness. Well crafted and full of malty goodness. tfontana (1015) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 11, 2016
Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Manchester Wine and Liquors. Aroma is bread, caramel, nuts. Appearance is dark amber with trace sparkle, 2-finger width frothy beige head and minimal lacing. Taste is as aroma with caramel dominating, late fruit. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and sweet, dry finish. Overall, a nice representative of the style. Not too heavy.
