As a daddy-to-be and a recent graduate of Oregon State Universitys Brewing Sciences program, Jason celebrates his inner college student and his soon-to-be new station in life with Big Daddy J. According to Jason, BDJ is a malt liquor that is simple and delicious. Its golden in color and hopped with Hallertau Hersbrucker hops, perfectly balanced so that its clean and drinkable smoothness makes that 8 percent alcohol go down so easily. Full Sails Brewers Share beers will only be available on tap at Full Sails Tasting Room and Pub in Hood River, Oregon, and at Full Sails Brewery at Riverplace, in Portland, Oregon.

marcus (10873) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours clear golden with a modest white head and a fruity yeast aroma. There is a thick caramel malt flavor with a funky rather bitter finish. Not really clean and drinkable as advertised.

Amber in color, clear with a thick white head. Nice malt forward flavors light hops. Easy drinking big alochol brew. This will catch you off guard lots of big alcohol.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow gold with white head. Nose/taste of corn, malt, sweet malt and toasted grain. Medium body. Clean.

kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - SEP 29, 2012
Gummy golden color. 2 inch white head. Translucent. Malty grain and alcohol aroma. Easy drinkin’ quick drunk without the tingy sweet alcohol flavor. The "Steel Reserve" of beer conessuirs.

I mean, what am I judging this against, Schlitz? Olde E? This is not bad comparatively, people.

22. Pours a crystal clear medium gold with a tight white head and decent rings of lace. Mild corny nose with a little bit of aluminum there, maybe a vegetal quality. Creamy medium body with semi-slick feel and soft carb. Corn and aluminum on the mid palate. Vegetal finish.

jredmond (8839) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 25, 2012
Draft at pony with Brendan and streets. Pours a clear yellow amber body. Aroma is heap lager. Bland. Mouthfeel is thin, offensive, horrible. Kill me.

hivemind (933) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 25, 2012
Tap @ Pony w James and Streets. Glassy golden pour; nothing pretty. Nothing tasty, either. Boring with notes of rotten fruit and light tasteless wheat. Can’t really be too harsh given the style but I probably can’t finish this 8-oz pour.

legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - SEP 25, 2012
One of the better craft malt liquors I have had. Popured a dark urine with a thin, thin head. Nose of corn. A bit hot across the palate, but I found it appropriate.

SPDickerman (1315) - Texas, USA - SEP 24, 2012
Pours clear golden orange with a medium sized off-white head. Smells grainy and hints of sweetness. Taste is sweet, woody, and has a touch of bitterness. Light-bodied with a smooth texture and lightly fizzy mouth-carbonation, Full Sail Brewer’s Share Big Daddy J’s Malt Liquor finishes a little sweet and a little dry.
