Draught. Pours dark brown with a stiff beige head. The aroma is nutty with some notes of roast grain and lemon. The flavor is cascade nops, roasted barley, and a pleasant bitterness. There’s a little bit of a nut-shell taste in the finish. Not too shabby. BDR (2534) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - MAR 26, 2010
A brown so dark its amost black with a faint bit of head. Dark roasted malts with a faint cocoa powder flavor. Very spicy. Rich, almost meaty mouthfeel. neepsntatties (1973) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 22, 2010
Had this on tap during Zwickelmania in Portland, OR (Feb. ’10). Colour... very dark garnet-brown with a thick head. Nose... American milk chocolate and roasted malt. Palate... sweet, tangy, creamy, roasted malt, dark milk chocolate and a medium length chocolate finish. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 13, 2010
Tap during Zwickelmania at their Portland location... Poured dark brown with a tan head. Overall a nutty, oat-like malty beer with a little hops and low bitterness. Clean finish, with a prominent ale yeast profile.
