Draft. Poured a light brown, reddish color with a small off-white head. Aroma was some nutty notes, caramel character. Flavor was toasted caramel with some nutty character. Very drinkable brew. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 6, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a one finger frothy off-white head that fell to a wispy film. The nose is pretty full of vienna maltiness with just a light touch of fruitiness and minimal hops. It actually smells a bit old and lightly oxidized, but there’s nothing in the little ’enjoy by’ space allotted to give me this info. The flavor isn’t really oxidized though, but it is a bit overly husky and grainy with a little light roast coffee and burnt caramel. The hops are pretty minimal here as well, with just a light bitterness towards the back end. Lighter bodied with a slightly clingy texture and fizzy carbonation. This one just didn’t do it for me. It’s really hard to find a good Altbier. marcus (10221) - Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours cola with a nice beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a rich caramel malt flavor with a dry finish. A nice alt. oRos (1675) - sacramento, California, USA - FEB 3, 2013

Interesting reddush color. As much as I’m not a fan of Full
Sail, this actually wasn’t that bad! Sweet, but smooth, very
enjoyable, especially in the heat. It actually tastes good,
as opposed to other FS beers.

Bottle. Thanks to adnielsen for the bottle. Pours an reddish brown color with off white head. Bready, caramel, nutty aromas. Flavor is strongly toasty and caramel with some nuttiness. Alts are one of my favorite styles, and I enjoyed trying this one. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 2, 2012

T - Starts off with a mix of sweet bready and caramel malts with some fruity esters and grains. Through the middle, some light floral hops come through with some biscuity malts and some lager yeast. The finish is a mix of sweet bready malts with some floral hops, fruity esters, and lager yeast.

D - Very drinkable. Nice Altbier with good yeast character and smoothness. gringo332 (640) - Richardson, Texas, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Bottle. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted caramel malt and floral hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted balanced flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. TheRealMGD (555) - Lakewood, Washington, USA - NOV 8, 2012
Bottle from Safeway. Clear, medium amber pour with a medium, off-white head fading to short but with good retention. Nose is lightly malty sweet. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Toast, medium-roast malt, some fruits and cedar. Finish is medium, dry and tasty, with a light sweetness lingering. Not a big altbier fan, but I reckon this one is pretty solid.
