Bottle to snifter (thanks tmoney99). Looks decent; a transparent brown with thin white lacing. Smells weird; not good, not bad; just weird. Some sweetness and hoppiness in there. Tastes like it smells, but milder (for better or for worse; I’m not sure which). A little thin for my liking, especially for what it smells like. Average (at best) on the palate. Meh. The beer pours a hazy brown color with a tan head. The aroma is full of toffee malt, with a hint of grass and some earth thrown in. The flavor similar. I get a lot of toffee notes, as well as some grass and ice-tea character. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. I am not a huge fan of altbiers, but this one was pretty good. (22oz bottle, courtesy of thirdeye11) Pours a clear amber body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, raisins, and florals. Flavor of caramel, smoked grains, nuts, and orange. SDalkoholic (2431) - Linda Vista, California, USA - AUG 23, 2012
Bottle from Sprout’s: Poured a dark tea brown color topped with a thick layer of frothy head. Aroma is sweet with caramel and toffee like malts but also catch a whiff of cereal as well. The drink comes across nicely balanced with firm backing of sweet syrupy malts that suggest caramel and burnt sugar while also delivering a gentle usage of hops. Finish leaves behind a taste of green tea.

Aroma: clean malty aroma with Noble hop character, Citrus mineral hints.Fresh.7+
Appearance: tad darker than average Alt. Dark amber with hint of ruby. Tanned creamy beige cap with some lace. 4-
Taste: medium lighter bodied. Citrussy with caramel and toffee. Some leaf-woody bitterness. Lacking some nutty woody hints. Tad too sweet with its caramel like Vienna malt side. Good dry finish. Not perfect style wise but good ale after all.

Appearance: Pours a clear, amber-hued body with a medium-small, wispy, ivory-hued head.
Smell: The nose leans a bit malty, with a note of toasted biscuit tops and suggestion of homemade caramel. Low hint of esters. Moderate degree of spicy-minded Continental hops.
Taste: Biscuity, toasty German malts with a little, sweetish nibble of burnt sugar. Slight fruitiness with a bit of green raisin showing. Spicy Noble hop bitterness gives a slight bite and a steady-as-she-goes dryness until the finish with a final zip of suds.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. A notch on the dial just above medium carbonation.
Overall: A solid, well-built alt.
(22oz bomber) clear amber, ring of fine white bubbles. Nose of caramel/honey, honey comb, sweet bread, just smells sweet. Taste of light earth, cracker, butter, creamy carbonation. BeerandBlues2 (13816) - Escondido, California, USA - AUG 7, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear dark amber with an average, frothy and bubbly off-white head, medium-short retention with good lacing. Aroma is cookie, light caramel and toast malt, dates and earthy-spicy hops. Flavor is malt forward with medium hops and bitterness, enough to balance the sweet malt, some fruity esters and a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.
