Bottle @ home. Pours a deep reddish orange appearance with a big, light brown head. Quite rich caramel, Munich malty, toffee, light citrusy, straw aroma. A little fruity (apple, pear), toasty caramel malty, toffee, grassy, earthy, a bit nutty flavor with a floral, herbal, grassy aftertaste. A little too sweet for my taste. A bit of a disappointment but not all that bad. DuffMan (10278) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 30, 2013
Bottle, shared with Parksy and Smitty. Medium amber, average beige head. Aroma and flavour are centered around caramel malt that is both lightly fruity and lightly earthy, ending in a gentle hop bitterness. A very sessionable beer, well-made. I think this is exactly what an altbier should be. marcus (10148) - Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours cola with a nice beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a rich caramel malt flavor with a dry finish. A nice alt. 3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 29, 2008
Draft @ Full Sail in Hood River. Dark rusty red colored body. Crunchy toast and nutty crisp crackers and peppery hop bitterness all over this thing. Clean and crisp with a medium to full body. Fresh and delicious. bb (9241) - Alamo, California, USA - OCT 29, 2012
Bottle. Brown beer with a light tan head. Malt and light cocoa aroma. Malt and light cocoa flavor with light mineral notes. Medium boldied. Malt and mineral lingers with light darker malts.

Bomber from the Utah State Store on 3300 South. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A sweet Munich nose with light fruit. The flavor is nice and clean: caramel, sweet malts, light bitter hops, light tropical fruit struggling to get through. Very flavorful and smooth. Nice. b3shine (8804) - Indiana, USA - AUG 28, 2012
Bottle to snifter (thanks tmoney99). Looks decent; a transparent brown with thin white lacing. Smells weird; not good, not bad; just weird. Some sweetness and hoppiness in there. Tastes like it smells, but milder (for better or for worse; I’m not sure which). A little thin for my liking, especially for what it smells like. Average (at best) on the palate. 5/2/12. 22oz bomber. Clear amber pour, lots of red, with a small khaki head that fades and laces in small, spotty sheets. Sweet caramel and malty aroma with a good touch of noble hops in there. Bold malty flavor, not bad really, with a hint of fruitiness, a touch of bitter hop character, and lasting smoothness. Not too shabby. Check this one out, 1 ... . pours a deep muddled amber brown .. low foam .. . leather, bitter molasses, and deep tree .. . a good dose of bitterness, i like it- nothing crazy, easy .. . . I thought I saw a baby ghost the other day, But it turned out it was a tissue. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - MAY 7, 2012
22. Pours a crystal clear rubied medium amber with a dense and creamy tan head that doesn’t stick around for long. Nose leans from the caramel way over into a tinniness that’s not very pleasant, plus some wet grass from the hops. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Caramel, tin, and wet grass on the mid palate. Mild finish. Showing some potential.
