From notes, 7/31/12:
Poured from a 22oz bomber into a dimpled stein. There’s a space for "Enjoy By", but nothing stamped in the space.
A: Deep reddish-copper color, off-white, 2 finger head. Minimal lacing down the glass. Edges are burnt orange when held up to the light.
S: Caramel and bready malts up front, fresh lager-like aroma, noble hops.
T: Balance tilts toward the bready and caramel malts, bitter hops come out more here. Slight nuttiness in the finish.
M: Clean and crisp like a lager, but I found it to be on the thin and watery side.
O: A solid Alt and worth the relatively low price tag. Easy-drinking and great for a weeknight. arondee (601) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - OCT 1, 2012
Pours a dark yeasty brown color with a huge white head and good carbonation. Aroma is caramel sticky malts. The taste is bread, yeast, caramel malts, very little hop characteristics. It’s an OK beer but I’m not a big fan. bb (9697) - Alamo, California, USA - OCT 29, 2012
Bottle. Brown beer with a light tan head. Malt and light cocoa aroma. Malt and light cocoa flavor with light mineral notes. Medium boldied. Malt and mineral lingers with light darker malts. TheRealMGD (555) - Lakewood, Washington, USA - NOV 8, 2012
Bottle from Safeway. Clear, medium amber pour with a medium, off-white head fading to short but with good retention. Nose is lightly malty sweet. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Toast, medium-roast malt, some fruits and cedar. Finish is medium, dry and tasty, with a light sweetness lingering. Not a big altbier fan, but I reckon this one is pretty solid.

Barcade, Brooklyn tap ($6): Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma caramel, toffee, and a tiny bit of hops and grains. Taste is slightly sweet with caramel and toffee being all up in there. Minimal bitterness. Mostly just a really smooth and easy drinking session ale. DuffMan (10596) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 30, 2013
Bottle, shared with Parksy and Smitty. Medium amber, average beige head. Aroma and flavour are centered around caramel malt that is both lightly fruity and lightly earthy, ending in a gentle hop bitterness. A very sessionable beer, well-made. I think this is exactly what an altbier should be.
