Pours clear yellow with a white head. The aroma has rich malt, herbal spice hops and some alcohol. It has a fairly full body with study carbonation. The taste is pretty rich and malty with only a bit of hops that are on the earthy and floral side. Decent

Bomber poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, yeast and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of bread and light earthiness with a hint of yeast and a smooth dry lightly bitter finish.

Light amber in color. Hops come through more than usual for the style. Dry finish. Not sure that the higher alcohol adds a lot more complexity, but I do enjoy this beer more than some other regular pilsners.

Clear orange body, thin white head. Bitter citrusy flavor. Tastes like an IPA, the hops are way too citrusy for a pilsener. The flavor is nice but doesnt fit. Weak aroma, some pale malt.

Bottle: Sweet malty aroma with a light grapefruit hoppiness. Pours a transparent yellowish-orange with a nice white head with great retention. Real nice lacing. Euro lager flavors with a hoppy finish. Kind of a lighter version of an IPA. Thanks to wolhfs for this first sampling of Full Sail.

Shared at the 12/18/04 Wisconsin gathering: Clear pale golden with a thin white lacy head. Semi-sweet pale malty aroma shows some European hoppiness. Body is lightly sweet turning more tart and acidic with some citrus presence. Needs more balance and Saaz hops though to be a double pilsner. Thanks DavidP for sharing!

Styles (2014) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - APR 27, 2005
Bottle courtesy of Wohlfs. I am not a pilsner fan at all, but this is half way decent. Maybe because its not a true pilsner? Lots of floral hop aroma and a little skunk. Initial flavor is sweet malt for a second. Floral hops dominate flavor with a slighly skunky finish. Nice body/mouthfeel for a pilsner.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is lightly grainy and grassy. Flavor has notes of sweet pale malt, grain, grass and hay. Some pleasant hop bitterness in the finish. Very full, round and creamy on the palate with moderate carbonation. Overall, nice beer.

Rich yellow/golden color, dense white head. Moderate aroma, hard to distinguish elements. Something like weak caramel on a sundae, some grass. A gentle hop effect in the finish, and some richness to the palate. A useful experiment for the 2004 Brewmaster series. Bottle.

Bottle: Slightly cloudy golden yellow with a small eggshell colored head. The aroma is ever so slightly tart with grassy & floral hops, and a bit of light fruit in there as well. The taste is spicy hops at first, then shows light fruits, grassy hops, and cookie dough. Hides the alcohol very well. Medium bodied, medium carbonation.
