UPDATED: JUN 10, 2011 What a great surprise from Full Sail. Beautiful orange color and with flavor to match. The orange and lemon really shine, but are perfectly matched by the 5 different hops. Nose is ok. Palate is great - fruity sweet up front and bitter as hell on the back. This may be one of the best "Summer IPA’s" I’ve ever had. I opened this intending on sharing, but I think I might just drink the whole bomber right now. 502Che (999) - @, CAMBODIA - JUL 9, 2011
Must be a new brew. From a bomber. Kind of curious why this is a "double" IPA at a mere 7.5%. Anyways, clear copper body nice white head. The aroma and flavor are both fresh hops with a nice pale malt presence. Very balanced and easy going. It is not the most bold ipa, but it is certainly perfectly fine with me. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - JUL 9, 2011
Sampled on 7/9/2011. This Imperial India Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral and citrusy, herbal and tropical. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity, tropical. Lots of orange and orange peel. The hops are piney, citrusy and herbal. Nice carbonation. Hoppy without being an over the top hop bomb, (remember what those were?) mostly balanced leaning slightly to the hops. Crisp and clean. Lots of hop flavors at the finish, and they linger way past the aftertaste. Think hop burps. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp, but with a whole lot of dryness. Aftertaste is bitter. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - JUL 16, 2011
22 oz. bottle- Pours cloudy golden with a thin white head, aroma is grapefruit citrus and watermelon, I love that aroma in IPA’s. The taste is very well balanced, very sweet citrus with a nice amount of bitterness. The body is medium, carbonation is medium, finish lingers. I thought it was a good example of the style, but have definitely had better. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 3, 2011
Bottle... Poured into my Full Sail stemmed glass an amber, copper/orange with a white head that retained a nice ring around the the glass. Very classic rendition of a northwest IPA. Reminded me of all the IPAs/IIPAs I used to love to chug down when I first moved out here. Dirty, woodsy, piney hops that also had a decent amount of resinous and citrus tones. Very fruit with some malt sweetness to balance. Some bitterness the endorsed the 7.5% strength of the brew. I enjoyed this one.

Orange/Copper pour with a nice white head. Good lacing. Aroma is resin and malt. Some light citrus notes. Flavor is resin, good malt. Nicely balanced beer and not cloying in the way some IIPAs can get. Nice solid offering. bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - AUG 9, 2011
Bottle. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Grapefruit and tropical fruit aroma. Tropical fruit and grapefruit flavor with malt. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Tropical fruit and grapefruit lingers with light caramel. Terminus (3683) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 14, 2011
bottle-pours bright orange with a very small white head. diminshed rather quick just left behind a small amount around the rim of the snifter. nose is mostly floral and bright citrus, very along the lines of most of this brewers IIPA’s. bright citrus flavors up front followed by a grapefruit and orange peal finish. long lingering notes of lemon into the finish. pretty interesting and quite refreshing for the ABV. I wouldnt call it world class, but definately a cool change for the style. very similart to other IIPA’s they have made but thats not a bad thing. Decent and glad i got a fairly fresh bottle of this stuff. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 21, 2011
Clear golden pour topped by a thick sticky white head. The aroma is slightly dank with a touch of soft citrus as well. Significant malt aroma underneath but the hops definitely dominate. A bit of caramel malt through the middle. A little bit of zesty spiciness in addition to the light citrus notes. A little bit of pine as well, but this is a light backnote. The citra is definitely there in the aroma, but the flavour leans more toward orange. It’s a tasty brew, but something about the hop mix in this one doesn’t quite work for me. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - SEP 27, 2011
Nice deep yellow gold color. Big firm head. Nice hoppy nose, citrus and pine and straw. Very crisp clean floral attack, clean dry finish. Yumm!
