Bottle. Dull orange/amber hue. The head is thin and light tan. It’s hard to discern any real aroma here initially ... maybe just a little "normal beer" malt ... nothing to give me any hint of what’s to come. This drinks pretty much middle of the road, at first impression. Concentrate on it a little harder and you get a little fest-y snap, and a bit of orchard fruit. I think it a bit misleading to market this as an ESB ... although a tad bit more laden with NW American hops, this carries more as a Vienna or Fest, IMHO. Certainly enjoyable, definitely not indicative of 6.5%, but a little different than I expected. (#4531, 3/21/2012) bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - MAR 21, 2012
(22oz bottle, courtesy of thirdeye11) Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, earth, light pine, florals, and minerals. Flavor of biscuit, grass, earth, subtle orange, and minerals. rougeau13 (3011) - Richmond, Texas, USA - MAR 20, 2012
Clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of grass, bread, light citrus, and caramel. The taste is malty and nicely bitter. Medium bodied and crisp; dry. Very good bitter. Sledutah (7530) - Utah, USA - MAR 20, 2012

Appearance: Clear amber with a medium sized off-white head and some lacing
Aroma: Caramel, citrus and sweet malts
Taste: Caramel, bready, woody and spices
Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice earth like aroma and flavors. The hops and malts give off a earth like grassy flavor. Nicely bitter with a good dry finish. Very quaff-able.

Moderately strong grassy hop nose. Lemongrass also present. Clear copper, medium head. Malty and beery with circus peanut accents, but mainly malty.. KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - MAR 16, 2012

Pours a thick, glassy amber with a nose of rosy biscuits and old bread spiked with after-thought grapefruit. Flavor is hoppy and bready, with notes of rose, biscuit, grapefruit, and light toast. Average mouthfeel. I enjoyed drinking this beer. A great ESB.
(22oz bomber) clear amber with off-white/tan edge bubbles. Nose of citrus/earthy hops, orange pulp, caramel, brown sugar, smells pretty good. Taste of caramel, bit earthy/English hops, herbal and even can taste the alcohol. Linger on the palate is pretty nice, not a bad ESB but very different for the style. smith4498 (3646) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Bottle from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours light amber color with of white head. Aromas of biscuit malts and dough. Sweet caramel flavor with some bread dough and moderate bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation. Tanks Craig. drjay44 (3709) - Salida, Colorado, USA - MAR 11, 2012
650 ml. bottle. Pours a thick, lasting, off white, long duration head, with heavy sea foam lacing, over a clear amber (SRM 12) body....nose is malts, toffee/caramel....taste is heavy cereal, light toffee/caramel, finish with spice and light bitter finish....mouth feel medium, carbonation medium. Typical of the ESB style, with nice balance, tending toward malty richness and complexity with just enough hop bite to balance. This is the proverbial easy drinking pint. BJCP 7/3/14/4/6
