Bomber. Pours pale amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma is lots of earthy, lightly citrus English-style hops, some caramel, toffee, honey, light fruit flavors. Medium mouthfeel. Love me some English bitter, and this is a really good version of one. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2012
Poured into a perfect pint.
3.5 A: Mildly hazed dark orange color. A little over one finger of frothy off-white head. Retention doesn’t quite meet average, but a small ring of lacing is left.
4.5 S: Solidly malty with a deep toastiness. A touch of yeasty breadiness. Good caramel presence. Fairly simple, but really nice.
4.0 T: Like the nose, this has only a few flavors, but they are done really well. Caramel, lots of toast, malty sweetness. Light bready yeastiness.
4.0 M: Heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Savory light chewiness. Super smooth.
4.0 D: Well made beer. No faults and great flavors.

A - Pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of sweet caramel malts, nuttiness, fruity english yeast, and some citrus hops.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet caramel malts with some nuttiness, citrus hops, and bitterness. Through the middle, some fruity english yeast comes through with a bit of floral hops and a bit more bitterness. The finish is a mix of fruity english yeast, caramel malts, nuttiness, and bit of hops.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a fruity and sweet finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice ESB with a bit of extra hops flavor. bitbucket (2165) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - JUN 22, 2008
Pours clear dark copper, with an off-white head that descends to a lacy ring of foam. Sweet, malty nose with brown sugar and fruit. Sweet medium body, with the taste of nuts, brown sugar, figs, citrus. This beer is heavy on the "Exra Special" but low on the "Bitter" and low on the earthy, dry, woody finish that I have come to expect in an ESB. spikester (606) - Salem, Oregon, USA - JUN 23, 2008
On tap at the brewery. Took home a growler. Copper-amber with an average white head. Big blast of hop bitterness with a major amount of malt power. Nothing like a classic ESB, nonetheless a tasty treat. I’m not even through the first pint and can already feel the impact. If I had to try and categorize this beer, something like an Imperial ESB.

Tap room in Hood River - Lots of fruit in the nose, with some vegetal notes in the background. Grassy hops that turns slightly herbal. Pours a golden amber with some fluffy white lacing topping the glass. Flowery malt background, doughy with some honey sweetness. This is a fabulously well done beer. troopie (2410) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - FEB 15, 2012
Bottle. A very flavourful bitter. Aroma of caramel, fruit, and toffee. Fruit, caramel and a bit of hop spice in the balanced full flavour. Hop tinged finish. Dorwart (2607) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - MAR 4, 2012
Good sized off-white head of rahter fine bubbles from a vigorous pour. Light candy sugar aroma with some sweet tarts, mild toasted grains, tea leaves and some light sprucy hops. Color is a hazy burnt umber. Initial doughy malts and toast then fades into a nice floral and spruce bitterness with some more tea leaves and herbal flavors. Light alcohol presence. Pretty well balanced with some lingering bitterness and toasted malts. Pretty east drinking and good brew. obguthr (6590) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - MAR 18, 2012
