Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours copper with an attractive beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a very dry finish. Nicely hopped for a well-balance flavor. Tastes like something you would get in a good English pub. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - APR 21, 2012
22. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a dense and creamy tan head. Beautiful caramel and orange nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. The mid-palate is fantastic; just enough malty sweetness from residuals, a nice toasted caramel, and some creamy, lightly acidic counterpoint from the hops, giving it a little orange and apricot feel. Very tasty and refreshing. Good spring beer. Drake (13948) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Bomber from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted caramel malts, honey, herbal hops. The taste is bitter citrus and herbal hops with faint toasted malts. Medium bodied. Solid beer. gringo332 (640) - Richardson, Texas, USA - JUL 7, 2012
Strong aroma is malty with fruity, earthy and woody notes. It pours a clear coppery with a pale yellow-tan head of about average thickness and persistence. Flavor has a woody core with a fairly, but not fiercely, bitter overtone and hints of caramel, rmussman (1701) - California, USA - JUL 7, 2012
Sampled in a bomber. A really malty brew with a serious kick. Really smooth as well and a great sipping brew.

22 oz bottle. Somewhere between a scotch ale and a barley wine ale, just a bit mote hop. Quite delicious. Kimbo419 (19) - - OCT 5, 2012
Another bottle share (thanks again Crispy). Bread-y aroma, light brown in color with a decent amount of white head. Sweet, slightly hoppy taste. The hops give more of a floral quality than bitterness. Not overly hopped for an ESB. Very smooth, easy-drinking beer. Just the right amount of carbonation, slightly dry finish. Very good example of an ESB, I would drink this again. uncben87 (68) - Wiesbaden, Hesse, GERMANY - JAN 20, 2013
From bottle to pint glass. Pours a hazy copper with little head. Aroma is of sweet, toasted caramel malts with little hop presence. Tastes of bready, toasted malts with a good sweetness balanced by a slight hop bitterness. MF is supremely smooth with low carbonation. Overall, I don't normally drink bitters but I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Bottle... Poured copper/orange with an eggy, off-white head. Nose had some hops, but not like floral or pine-like. More earthy and subdued, a light spicing of hops. Some malt sweetness. Big yeast esters. A hint of bitterness but overall fruity and sweet. Reminded of a lot of beers that come out of New England. dmac (6321) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - FEB 11, 2012
22 oz bomber from Spirits TR. poured a muddy deep orange body under a smaller foamy off-off-white head. Aroma of orange slices, toast, dough, grains. Fuller creamy body with soft carbonation and a full mouthfeel with an average to short duration on the aftertaste. Flavor is a bit better then the aroma with notes of orange, toast, grains, flower stems, some bitter citrus rind on the end. I wasn’t expecting much from this but it’s pretty damn good.
