Dark orange with a fizzy off white head. Hop resin and caramel aroma and taste with some buttery notes on the back end. Decent bitterness throughout. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - NOV 1, 2009
Floral and pine smells in the nose. First sip is pretty harsh, hop wise then it fades off. Could be more balanced. RSRIZZO (1986) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - OCT 27, 2009
From a 22oz. bottle poured into a Shaker at 42°. Color is a golden orange with good carbonation and a thick off white head. Aroma is bright with hops that give a citrus, pine and grass scent with just a touch of toffee in the back. Taste is dry and citric. Starting with a medium body it goes down creamy with a sharp bitterness on the end. Finish jumps in with a malty with a mild sweet feel then a big hop flavor of citrus and bold bitterness. After taste is dry with the bitterness building and hanging in the back of your mouth. Overall its a well done IPA, good flavor without overdoing the citrus. bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - OCT 15, 2009
Bottle. Rich caramel colored beer with a light tan head. Big grapeofruit and light earthy aroma. Grapefruit and orange flavor with malt and a light floral note. Medium bodied. decent bitterness. Grapefruit and light pine lingers with a bit of pithiness and light earth. hellbilly (3249) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - OCT 12, 2009

bronze-y amber pour with a slight haze. it’s capped by a soft foamy light tan head and clingy spots of lace.
sweet malty nose yet dry, spicy and almost husky... along with caramel, earthiness, a touch of pine and some grapefruit.
initial blast of toffee-like malty sweetness is helped out by dry and bitter hoppy goodness... spicy, earthiness, citrus and just a touch of sweet pine.
medium bodied, prickly and crisp. 7/4/7/3/15/3.6

Bottle: Clear amber with nice head and lacing. The nose is earthy and crispy with dry hops (columbus?). Tangy, bitter flavor with a thin pale malt note. Good finish, light balance; dry and very hoppy. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 6, 2009
Dark amber with fluffy off-white head. Warm hop nose with earthy citrus. Paint thinner fire breathing hops evaporate on the tongue. Tasty. Dry. Pick up the malt sweetness after a few sips. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - OCT 2, 2009
The next beer in our summer “sun” series that began with Sunspot IPA. This beer is brewed in the aggressive IPA style with Columbus hops accentuating a malt blend featuring Munich and Honey malts for a full malt flavor. skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - OCT 2, 2009
A decent run of the mill NW IPA. Sweet malts and light citrus notes on the nose, honey included. Similar on the taste, light grapefruit in the finish. Not too exciting, but definitely drinkable and refreshing in the summer! KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - OCT 1, 2009
UPDATED: AUG 2, 2010 Tap at Falling Rock.
Pours a velvety smooth amber with a faint floral hops nose. Flavor is sour strawberry pine hops in a floral grapefruit salad. Average mouthfeel. Too floral to enjoy more than one at a time.
