Bottle sample at the Draft Magazine PBS Beer Festival. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. The nose is malt and floral hops. The taste is tart citrus, caramel malt and resin. Medium mouthfeel. Good IPA. That1Guy (2241) - Colorado, USA - AUG 6, 2009
Not much nose. Some nice hops, some emptiness, some poop. Flavor is very nice and smooth, with a great hop presence and a nice malt backbone. Nothing incredible here, but it’s easy to drink and pretty tasty. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - OCT 1, 2009
Clear amber, small head, small lacing. Honey malt, some hops creep through, not the aromatics I would expect from an 80 IBU beer. Dry cotton wraps around the caramel base. Little dank. Leafy earthy hops provide ample balance and carry through the sip. Kevin (2218) - Montana, USA - AUG 29, 2009
so much burnt iced tea, so little time. rough grass, and tree bark are the highlights of this red brown pour that makes me long for a glass of water to wash the taste out of mouth. i have two older brothers so i know what crap tastes like. this is too close for me. too sticky of a mouthfeel coupled with an aggressive hand with the not so tasty hops makes this an unpleasant experience all around.

On tap at Full Sail in Hood River. Colour... cloudy, amber-orange with a thick off-white head. Nose... citrusy, hoppy and some pine. Palate... a very quick bite of hops, followed by citrus and tropical fruits, and backed up by a good layer of malt. Finish is lengthy and bitter.

From a 22oz. bottle poured into a Shaker at 42°. Color is a golden orange with good carbonation and a thick off white head. Aroma is bright with hops that give a citrus, pine and grass scent with just a touch of toffee in the back. Taste is dry and citric. Starting with a medium body it goes down creamy with a sharp bitterness on the end. Finish jumps in with a malty with a mild sweet feel then a big hop flavor of citrus and bold bitterness. After taste is dry with the bitterness building and hanging in the back of your mouth. Overall its a well done IPA, good flavor without overdoing the citrus. skoisirius (1908) - Earth, Washington, USA - OCT 2, 2009
A decent run of the mill NW IPA. Sweet malts and light citrus notes on the nose, honey included. Similar on the taste, light grapefruit in the finish. Not too exciting, but definitely drinkable and refreshing in the summer! philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 24, 2010

Pours like dark caramel with a dense creamy head that lingers. Strong pine aromas. This stuff is thick and viscous. I want to chew on it. Mucho hop knife blades slash the gobby malt mush into a frenzy. Fresh and generous. The finish is long and savory. Excellent! kiefdog (1827) - Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 21, 2009
