Pours very dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of walnuts and a little roasted malt. No chocolate in the aroma or flavor. Kind of thinly carbonated. Thin body as well. Okay but nothing special. Andrew196 (1902) - Katy, Texas, USA - MAR 7, 2003
Almost black in color, thin beige head. Roasted coffee aroma with some smoke. Smoke really came out in the taste, very crisp for a porter. I like where they were going but something just didnt come together well.....not sweet enough? philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 10, 2010

Pours black with a coffee colored head and nice lacing. Aromas of caramel, toffee, chocolate, roast malts, and floral hops. Flavor is much the same with a bit more of the roast malts coming out blended with chocolate and coffee, and those mt hood hops are showing up making a pretty decent balance. Slightly thin body, dry palate, and a nice bitter finish. 11026 (1772) - Alabama, USA - DEC 31, 2004
Tap at the brewery. Nice deep brown color. Tan head with some lacing. Pleasant nutty and chocolate flavor. Medium bodied. Hops are perceptible in the finish. Decent.

I swear they are trying to bring back the imperial porter in this beer. A very strong and robust porter, with a huge taste. I could drink a lot of this and not get bored. Thanks Full Sail! BeerPrince (1701) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 4, 2006
Dark brown with a small tan head. Arome was espresso and some caramel. Flavour starts full, with coffee and caramel sweetness and only gets a touch of hop bittterness on the finish. kyzr (1548) - Montana, USA - JAN 24, 2003
Good solid porter. Great color with nice carbination. Good roasted malt flavor and very clean crisp finish. Very light tasting. iwantalambic (1478) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 6, 2004
Draught: Nutty brown color with a light brown head. Aroma has a hint of coffee and some bitter nutty malts. Thin palate and a strange lactic sourness. The least of the offerings on tap at the Full Sail tasting room. TChrome (1472) - North Richland Hills, Texas, USA - MAR 17, 2005
Beer pours dark brown with a well retained beige colored head and some light lacing. Aroma is really too underwhelming. Very modest notes of chocolate and coffee and a little dust. Flavor improves upon the aroma rather significantly. Nice cold coffee flavor with a bit of hop bitterness in the finish. Good beer.
