COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Pursuit is the ultimate celebration of Oregon agriculture and Pacific Northwest Hops. Our brewers shoot a wonderfully hoppy surplus of Cascade, Mosaic, Equinox, and Simcoe into the fermenter using our Hop Shooter, dry hopping the beer and enhancing the aroma of pineapple and late hop flavors. Piney and mango notes follow with a mid-palate hint of honey. Two-Row Northwest Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts provide the right amount of malt character. Balanced by a clean, caramel malt body, Hop Pursuit’s multi-layered hop flavors lead to a crisp, assertive finish. Like the Pacific Northwest, this IPA has hops for days.

Really nice fruity hop aroma and flavor -- which changes from start to aftertaste. Light malt in background; a little bit of bready flavor, and probably a little caramelized malt. Not super bitter. A really tasty easy-drinker.

355ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey deep golden to amber colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Piney and citrusy, hoppy aroma, caramel malty background with an almond touch, notes of lemon and orange, a resinous touch. Taste is moderately bitter, citrusy and piney hoppy, caramel malty basis with an almond touch, notes of lemon and orange; lasting bitter finish.

33cl bottle. Clear pale golden with a small white head. Citrus, fruity and malty. Nice.

12 oz single bottle from Bottles & Bitters at Sloan’s Lake. Clear orange appearance with a small beige head. Aroma of piney hops, flowers, light grains and a light herbal spice. Similar flavor, adding moderate hop bitterness and light malt sweetness. Medium body with a slight dry feel and a light resinous hop finish. Not bad overall.

Always looking for a great IPA. This one is not so great. Drinkable, but I would not rush out and buy some more.

Bottle from a supermarket in Oregon. Aroma is grassy hops and soft tropical fruits with grainy malt and a floral/perfumed aspect. Flavour is moderate sweet with a decent bitterness. Body is medium. Decent and drinkable as a beer, flavour is alright, but not a good IPA at all.

The worst IPA I’ve had in years. I live in Seattle where IPAs are plentiful and I have grown accustomed to trying new ones and almost never being disappointed. This is a sad excuse for a beer. Indeed the bud light of IPAs. On a hot day an ice cold bud light would be better.

Pours a slightly tinted gold, spritzy body with a non-uniform ivory colored head. Aroma is good enough, some toasty malts, pine, mild citrus. Crisp on the tongue, good feel. Pretty balanced throughout but nothing really distinguishing it.

Bottle in Seattle. Thin stingy foam, darker amber gold. I had low expectations but this drinks well. Some minerality to the malt base with a modicum of citrus hop. Fair acidity and rather clean. Bright carbonation. Easy, nice beer.

Bottle from Albertsons. Nothing stands out here, pretty average all around. Clear, bright golden, small ring of head. Light aroma focuses on hops, light citrus notes. Taste is mildly sweet, some tropical essence as well. Light lingering bitterness.

scoth (690) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 19, 2017
Pours clear golden orange with a medium beige head, very good retention. Aromas of grapefruit, pine resin, succulent floral notes, biscuit, and caramel. Medium-light body, lightly dry, moderate carbonation. Lightly sweet, a hint of grape fruit tang, and a lasting medium bitter finish. Pretty satisfying IPA.
