Bottle. Dark brown pour. Ruby highlights. Short white head. Aroma is caramel, grains, spicy hops and light earthy notes. Taste is big caramel, grains, spicy hops, earthy hops, light herbal notes and dried fruit. Body is medium with a soft but prickly carbonation. Ends with more caramel notes, toasted malt, dried fruit, spicy hops and earthy notes. Very tasty! jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAR 21, 2010
Beautiful looking in the glass, clear red-orange. Sticky head with nice lacing. Aroma is germanic malts and some light caramel. A really fine drinking beer. Superbly balanced, worthy of its heritage. Yum. potbeerjob (1343) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 21, 2010
Bottle. Clear dark amber with small white head that sticks around. Aroma of bread, caramel and light booze. Taste is boring - nice malt base with light hops that barely come through. Bread, roastedness, light nuttiness. Eh. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 14, 2010
12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a dark amber color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, toasted malts, caramel and very faint dark fruits. Taste is toasted malts, cherries and berries, caramel and a dark fruit finish. Very faint hops. Medium bodied and smooth. Enjoyable beer.

Says here this beer is a dunkel. I suppose it makes sense as it quite malty for a lager. Amber color with no head and a caramel sweet nose. Tastes like candy corn. First beer from Full Sail and I wasn’t expecting much. Nothing really stands out here, overall pretty unimpressed. radagast83 (8624) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAR 13, 2010
Sampled from a 12 oz bottle. Overall I was more impressed with this beer than I was first expecting. Pours a amber color, small mostly white head. Aroma is a bit grassy, with touches of grains. A very clean beer, without any offensive touches to it. Not bad. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 24, 2010

12 oz. bottle as a bonus from a trade with LtDan- thanks, Dan! Pours a clear copper color with a small off-white head that leaves a film as a cap on the beer. Aroma of banana, caramel malts, toast, nuts, cherry, hops, and mild spices. Flavor of caramel malts, nuts, toast, sugar, mild spice, hops, funk, and a mineral note. Light-medium bodied, with average carbonation and a funky finish. Sweet, bitter, nutty, and funky. Somewhat chewy in mouthfeel. Interesting beer and not skunky like a lot of German dunkels, but still has a consistent and unusual funkiness. arminjewell (9728) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 3, 2010
Pours golden with white head, aroma is biscuity and floral. Taste is lager like with a bit of floral sweetness that goes into a bready malt and finishes a bit dry.
