i was very impressed by this beer. When i ordered it i thought i was getting the traditional lager, however i was greeted with a dark clear beer wtih a small brown head. malty undertones with a lagerish crisp aftertaste. this beer was very refreshing in a different kind of way. phobos1031 (87) - Paradise, Nevada, USA - MAR 8, 2008
12 bottle. pours dark amber. not what i expected for a lager. looks nice in a pint glass with a medium head. syrupy, malty, caramel smell. slightly bitter at the back of the tongue. blueturk (82) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - JAN 28, 2008
Pours with a low white head and amber color. Carmel aroma. Not as crisp as I would expect a lager (dunkel) to be. I did drink this quite cold (~37F). Everything is quite average. Thanks Carsten for bringing this beer over for me to try. wbdace (50) - los angeles, California, USA - APR 28, 2008
Bottle. Clear orange-brown, small head, malty aroma. Caramel malt flavor, sweet finish. Not great but nice. emptytankard (36) - Illinois, USA - APR 4, 2009
Great rich brew, pretty much on par with a good German bock. Pours a dark copper with a quickly dissipating head. Bready, with some nice cocoa notes and very pleasant sweetness. Minimal hop presence, with a nice smooth finish.

A superb amber lager - round, rich, balanced, earthy, luscious, with more kick than most. Not only that, but available for $6.99/6. chrisbcano (22) - Houston, Colorado, USA - APR 8, 2010
pours deep amber red with a lighter tan head. aroma is wonderful, light malt with more hoppy smell. excellent taste, somewhat sweet and bitter. smooth finish with a little bite. thick palate, was’t expecting that. i’m a fan. funkleshite (17) - California, USA - MAR 13, 2010
Says here this beer is a dunkel. I suppose it makes sense as it quite malty for a lager. Amber color with no head and a caramel sweet nose. Tastes like candy corn. First beer from Full Sail and I wasn’t expecting much. Nothing really stands out here, overall pretty unimpressed. BeerIndustry98 (15) - , California, USA - AUG 28, 2008
Poured in pint glass, dark tan in color. Full bodied, thick mouth feel, somewhat gasey. Extremely filling leave one filing more bloated than most other ales.
