Appearance: deep amber, ruby highlights, creamy off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma: toffee, roasted nuts, caramel, strong note of toast. Taste: toast, caramel/toffee, but of roasted nuts and crackers, mellow earthy hops. Finish: clean, toasty sweet, lightly bitter. Notes: Probably one of the top lagers I’ve ever had. Flavorful, balanced and delicious. Incredibly drinkable palate. Came in a ’Summer Sampler’ from World Market. Must…find…more… Braden99 (29) - Camarillo, California, USA - OCT 12, 2011
A tasty, full bodied & hearty Amber. Going into it you don’t what to expect, but its carmel flavor mixes well with a nice malty feel. Full Sail’s Amber is still one of my favorite Ambers, but the LTD 05 (like an Imperial IPA), is a welcome alternative scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - MAR 12, 2011
Toasty nose, full and rich, nearly dusty. Beautiful clear amber, small sustained white head. Ah! So toasty and consistent, little crackermeal, some white bread, ample weight on the palate. Gets a touch metallic in the trailing finish, but 95% of the experience is joyous. TommyTilt (67) - Maryland, USA - MAY 17, 2011
12oz bottle on Max’s special board this past weekend. Poured a clear, cream soda color. White head, not really any lacing to be spoken of. Slightly sweet, bready caramel malt, full bodied lager with a clean floral finish. Stop trying other beers after this one. Had about 6! Stocking my fridge now that its fresh... 12 ounce bottle - $1.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a clear, reddish-amber body with two fingers worth of off-white foam.
Smell: Sweetish bready-scented pale malts, touches of caramel, lightly toasted nuts, and even a tiny hint of chocolate. Secondary scent of slight fruitiness.
Taste: Sweet, lightly nutty, lightly caramelized maltiness on the fore. Slightly fruity, hinting of candied berries. Mild, earthy-toned hops with a low bitterness barely making its presence known, keeping this a malt-forward brew. Very small hint of grains. Sweetish, malty finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: I’ll be honest, it’s a skosh reminiscent of Magic Hat’s Vinyl, which is certainly fine, as I enjoyed that one as well. A mighty tasty malty red lager.

Smells earthy and grainy. Pours a rich clear brown with minimal head. The malt really comes through in this one. There is a crisp offset with the carbonation which has an underlying hop character. Finish is crisp for such a malty beer. Very nice. 6,5,8,5,16 inkubus27 (269) - highland, Indiana, USA - FEB 25, 2012
For a lager/amber i absolutely love this. This is one of those beers you need to keep in your fridge at all times, if only that were possible. Best of the LTD series yet Shink (177) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 8, 2012
Out of the bottle. Pours a brilliant caramel color with a white head. Smell is mild and malty. Taste is smooth and sweet. The sweetness lingers and provides a full mouth feel. Very good. rmussman (1701) - California, USA - AUG 10, 2012
This beer is crazy good. I haven’t enjoyed the last couple of editions of the ltd but this is exceptional. The malts are smooth and the hops are mild and crisp. So good.
