Why fly to Munich for a genuine Oktoberfest Lager when this one’s inches from your lips? A smooth, malty lager brewed in the true Bavarian Style, using Two-row Pale, Vienna, Caramel and imported roasted Munich malts, moderately hopped with imported Czech Saaz and Yakima Sterling hops. Flavors reminiscent of honey, nougat and roasted nuts. Complex and beautifully balanced Prost!

A really great version of this style, sorta in the midpoint between the Americanized really sweet versions and the more biscuity German versions I’ve had. Kinda reminds me of honey nut cheerios with less sweetness. Clean on the palate and easy drinking. Really very good stuff, one of the best Marzens I’ve ever tried.

Growler from the brewery in Hood River. Light golden brown pour, good sized slick of a white head. Nice strong aroma of bread, roast, nuts - very inviting. Taste - very solid as well. Tons of nutty flavour balanced by lively carbonation and hops over a light body. Nice roast/nutty/sweet linger as well. One of the best marzens I’ve had.

Out da bottle - Beautiful bright amber color. Toasted pecan, subtle cinnamon, grain bready notes for aroma. Body is a nice medium weight, malty with caramel spice flavors that are rounded and balanced. Well crafted.

Pours deep amber with a sticky off white head. Nose is intense rich malts, bready, pungent malt richness, medium caramel notes, and a moderate amount of dark fruit aromas. Flavor is rich malts, caramels, dark fruits, raisins, figs, toasty malts. Medium body and medium sweetness. Pretty damn fine.

Bottle... Poured deep reddish a,ber with a thin head. Toasted malts and fruity notes on the aroma. Malty and fruity. Caramel and toasted malts were dominant. Some fruity tones with nuts and oats too. Sugars in the finish. Nice, medium mouthfeel.

Pours a soft and clean orange-ish amber with one or two fingers of fizzy sandy tan head. Nose has a light caramel sweetness on the edges, works well with the herbal hop note and biscuity/bready grain. Flavor is nice, earthy and lightly toasted grain. A touch of malt sweetness makes its way through. Very soft and mellow/mild with full malt flavors and a clean finish. Very very low bitterness and soft finish. Nice

Pours a clear bronze with escaping bubbles and a fair khaki head that settles to a thick film, leaving some soapy lace. Nose involves toasted malt, noble hop spice, crusty bread dough, and light lemon. Pretty sweet, fairly bitter. Medium bodied, oily, soft carb, finishing toasty and dry. Nice oktoberfest.
