UPDATED: OCT 24, 2006 Well first blake is being retarded to say this is a .8 and worse than almost every malt liquor he’s ever tried..
Then on to my rating from GABF 06
Deep golden color w/ a whisp of head and some actual wine like leggings and a bit of thin lacing. Aroma of cherries, light vanillas, oaks, some whisky or bourbon style notes and some sugars. Flavor very similar to the aroma lots of booze notes and some great woods and pieces of funk. Pretty avg palate.

GABF 2006. Dark golden color, no head. Aroma is sour cherries, bourbon, and too much alcohol. Taste is sugary malt, mild sour cherries and bourbon. Light oak and hops in the finish. Body seemed light for the style, but makes the beer much more approachable. Stylistically, not sure what exactly they were going for here- barleywine? Flemish sour? Draft at the Falling Rock. Iced tea body with a thick ring of bubbles and a thin film of bubbles. Nose-formaldehyde, cherry, paint thinner, woody. vanilla bean, light butter, sour cherry. Taste-medium sourness, light wood, tannins, light funk, very light cheap bourbon, kind of hot going down. Nose and taste are night and day! hopscotch (11161) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 9, 2006
Draft...Mid-GABF ’06 at the Falling Rock Tap House, Denver...This beer rocks! Judging by the conversations surrounding this beer in Denver, It’s definitely a "love it" or "hate it" experience. I’m anxious to see the standard deviation once more reviews roll in. I loved it!... Mostly clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Terrific retention. Smells like Tennessee sourmash whiskey... straight up! I love sourmash whiskey, but this brew tastes so much better than it smells; very acetic, lots of whiskey, black cherries and wood. Medium-bodied and astringent with moderate carbonation. Sour, bone-dry finish. Alcohol is evident and warming. World class ale! 1FastSTi (3360) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 8, 2006
Sampled at GABF. All I gotta say about this brew is that is was friggen awful. Absolutely FULL of fusel alcohol including, but not limited to acetone, ether, isopropyl alcohol, fingernail polish remover, etc. The flavor was also consistent with the aroma. How the hell does anyone like this brew? The only redeeming quality was its appearance.

[Falling Rock Tap House - Denver, Co]
After the GABF went to the Falling Rock Tap House and had this wonderful nectar poured there. It was thick poured in a snifter and this was great old ale and it had such wonderful flavors and a strong port/oak flavor. I loved it.
