Rich amber hue with welcoming lacing and white head. Malty, earthy nose and flavor. Subtle hop piquancy arose after beer warmed up a bit. Very enjoyable for the style and reasonably priced. Spring has sprung! Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - APR 24, 2007
Chestnut brown color. Full, chewy texture, yet not cloying. Wholesome, rich malts were filled with toast, roast and a bit of burntness. Zingy hops were green and earthy. Bitterness was balanced. Full yet drinkable. Not overly exciting, but a solid beer, especially for such a boring style ("amber" or "red," take your pick). dillinja (24) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 23, 2007
Nugget pours out with a nice head crowning the amber body. Malts and hops balance well and simply here. Citrus and some bitterness keeps this a fresh and drinkable beer. GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - APR 23, 2007
Pours a rich, honey amber color w/ a full, semi creamy froth. Superb head retention w/ thick and latherous residual lacing. Aromas of hopsy flowers amidst a malted leathery buscuit backdrop. Nice! Full nectar w/ creamy residual effers. Big caramel malts promptly balanced by bold hopsy citrus rind. A slight biscuiting is intriguing and very enjoyable. A brew like this, I thought would be sweet but it’s not. There are trace elements of fat caramel but the high profile hop factors in and keeps it in balance pushing the malts into submision. Perfection! The finish is bittered w/ a defined citrus rind component. Not real complex but very filling. I could drink a few of these. Highly recommended. Very red pour with a rocky and fluffy white head. Sweet candy sugar with some apples on the nose. Nice crisp irish ale flavor - light toffee with good crystal malt balance - not overly sweet or cough syrupy. This combines with a nice grassy bitterness. Somewhat creamy. This is a nice quaffer. Thnks André!

Pours a clear reddish amber with a lacy straw head. Aroma of pine nuts, and a touch citrus. Creamy medium body with fine carbonation. At bit of toffee in the taste. The hops dominate the taste and the finish, so it’s a nice beer from a hops appreciation standpoint, but the balance suffers a bit. bhensonb (15973) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 16, 2007
Aroma of sweet malts and citrus? hop. Color approaches ruby red or ruby orange, and the white head didn’t stay long. A bit thin. Seems to start with malt, develops a different malt character, finishes with a decent amount of bitter, but the a lightly roasted malt flavor sticks around. Not a dry finish. jigglyjock (165) - Longmont, Colorado, USA - APR 15, 2007
Sweet malt body balanced well with a medium hoppy bitterness. Aroma is only lightly specaled with hops. The main smell a dry maltiness with cobweb yeast notes. Flavor has hints of toffee and sweet candy, apples, cherries, and grapes. DYCSoccer17 (3714) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 13, 2007
22 ounce bottle purchased at Covell Nugget in Davis, CA. Aroma is quite sweet, a bit fruity with some strawberry-like notes and some sugars. There appears to be a little roastiness and some floral, herbal aromatic aromas. Interesting, but a bit too sweet and awkward. Attractive dark amber body that is transparent with a light manilla head, which is pretty resilient. Nice lacing. Start is a bit herbal and floral with a light sweetness present. A nice little grainy maltiness in the middle. Lightly milky. FInishes nice with earthy-metallic hops, with some moderate bitterness that is not over the top. Not too dry. The aroma is a little wacky, but everything else is solid and enjoyable. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - APR 12, 2007
22 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquor - Pours a clear deep amber color with a one and a half finger thick light tan head. Light lacing. Aroma is light caramel malt and citrus hops. Flavor is mostly citrus hops. The beer is fairly bitter. Could use a little more malt character. Light to medium body. Decent beer.
