Courtesy boboski. Dark reddish amber body. No head, just a thin film with a small rim at the edges. Aroma was of caramel malts, brown sugar, and a hint of black cherry. Very appealing. Flavor starts with that same caramelized maltiness, but soft resinous hops soon join the party, adding balance. Smooth, medium body. Soft finish with a hint of bourbon in the aftertaste. Nice brew. boboski (1095) - Alabama, USA - AUG 13, 2007
Pours a clear, crimson tinted amber. Orange hues at the edges. A thin, off-white head dissipates slowly but fully. The aroma is of citric hops, mellow and agreeable. Very light toast is also noted, along with low but noticeable alcohol, caramel, light spice and vanilla bean. The flavor is very nice, also quite soft. Caramel malt leads the charge, followed immediately by hops and more soft spices. Finishes lightly sweet, then mildly drying, bitterness lingering briefly. The mouthfeel is crisp, soft, mildly carbonated and smooth. Tasty, though not very memorable. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - AUG 11, 2007
650 ml bottle from Bottle Barn, santa rosa. I’ve cleansed my tongue with fire after that nasty ass Drakes’ beer! Agh! Reddish amber color with a fizzy white head. Caramel and citrus hoppy aroma. Sweet malty backbone and a bigger bitter bite than I was expecting. Not bad at all. mgumby10 (1856) - Jupiter, Florida, USA - AUG 11, 2007
Courtesy boboski. Pours a clear copper amber color with a small off white head. Big caramel malty flavor, some hops, cinnamon and sweetness. The taste is definitely hoppy with a huge, caramel malt flavor. with a slight bitterness mostly the way through. There is a little mild tartness to it that came through, which wasnt the best feature of this brew, but wasnt enough to make it bad. Decent. Pours amber/red with a slight haze. Head is thin and offwhite. Aromas of citrus and malt. Flavor is dry and bitter. Body is medium. An OK brew. Nothing special.

Bottle from Bottle Barn; Nose of caramel, vanilla, and grain; Copper-red with a big beige head, that thickly laces the glass; flavor of caramel, hop bitterness, and light spices; body and falvor kind of watery, finish is bitter. Decent amber but watery and I was hoping for better. BillKismet (4057) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 29, 2007
Gorgeous mahogany body topped with a lush head. Fruity hops with bubble gum and punch notes. Little bitterness. Oakes (17668) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 29, 2007

Dark hazy amber. Fresh hoppy, woody nose with full-bodied caramel background. Woody, grapefruity notes work alongside caramel and muscovado and blood orange accents. Decent beer.
