(Bottle 65 cl) Vintage 2003. Pours a hazy, very orangey amber with a small, rough head. Nose full of caramel and aroma hops. Full body with sweet caramel and some lovely fruit esters. Lightly aromatic, hoppy finish. But somehow appears a little tired. Tasted at the Oklahoma Beer tasting March 06 hosted by mjames and lilannie. 250306 omhper (24970) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 24, 2003
2001 version, bottled (at the Rate Beer gathering at Flying Saucer, Addison).
Amber couloured. Cork and flower aroma. Very thick with chewy maltiness. This is hop syrup so thick it doesn't make your mouth wet. Flavourful, and rather complex, yet not extremely bitter. madmitch76 (24378) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2012

Hazy deep amber - brown beer. Light malt nose. Semi soft palate, a little dry. Malty bitter toffee, followed by pretty bitter hop. A little aniseed alcohol underneath. Subtle black fruits in the finish which is soft and warming and with a trace of bubblegum. A few too many rough edges for me.
Bottle at home Big thanks to Douglas88 for this ... Deep copper ... wee bit sweet barley wine nose with some piney hop ... But the flavour for me is not a barley wine ... little sweet ... lots of hops very bitter ... nearly undrinkable ... appreciate getting to try it but oh no... no balance...
