Draft. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of straw. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw, leading to a dry bitter finish. Somewhat like a Helles.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is hops, grass and malts. Flavour is grassy, papery, hoppy and very watery. Strong hayish hoppy aftertaste. But I still like the American hops in lagerbeer.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a neat, clear fully golden with a handsome, frothy, off-white head. Very fresh nose with some citrusy acidity. Light-bodied, dry and tart but also quite refreshing. No bitterness. Tasted at the Oklahoma Beer tasting March 06 hosted by mjames and lilannie. 250306

[Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival] Clear golden, small head. Grassy and grainy. Softly malty. Well structured and very drinkable. I really like this simple little beer.

Golden color. Nice thin head. Bready, malt-accented aroma with subtle grassy hops. Smells like a nice "session lager". Slightly thin on the palate, with a light bread accent. Finishes kind of watery...its ok but more macroish than I expected.

yngwie (16989) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 8, 2015
Bottle. A clear, pale golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma is lightly grainy and mostly fruity, with pear drops, hay, grass and pine cones. Its medium bodied and pleasantly carbonated, dry. Grass, pine cones, some hay and grains in the flavor, as well as a decent bitterness. Lasting mostly fruity finish with a suitable, drying bitterness. A decent beer indeed, but a rather boring style. Slakes the thirst. 150608

A: The pour is a wonderfully clear golden straw color with a small and poorly retained white head. S: Sweet grain and malt on the nose with some definite corn notes to the beer. A bit of a cooked and toasted grain aroma to it. Not much in the way of hop aroma, perhaps lightly floral. T: The flavor is much better than I was expecting from the aroma. Certainly sweet and grainy, but that adjunct/corn flavor is mild. Floral hops provide a nice balance and theres a touch of earthiness in there as well. M: Light to medium in body with moderate level of carbonation. O: Ive heard this beer talked about for so long and finally picked up some up. Its pretty good for what it is, and I suppose if I was in the mood to pound down some light-ish lagers, this might not be a bad choice.
