Dark opaque black color, small off-white head. Roasted coffee and some chocolate in the aroma. Medium-bodied. Soft palate (cask!). Toasted, dark malty flavor with hints of dark chocolate. Nice pleasant stout.

Hood River, Or - on tap at the brewpub. Dark black pour, nice thick khaki colored head, thick lacing. Aroma has some nice coffee accents, a bit of chicory. Flavor follows the same pattern with a heavy accent on the coffee with some licorice thrown in there for good measure. Nice thick lacticity in the mouthfeel - nice creaminess. On nitro tap Full Sail Bend Pours out a black with a cream tan head. Aroma of sweet roast and some coffee. Tast was the sweet roast malts, some light coffee and a little bitterness on the end. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - NOV 13, 2010
Tap @ Portland Taproom: Called the "Slaine" stout, but it was on nitro, so I imagine that a dry irish stout on nitro is probably going to be slainte, not slaine. Maybe a word document autocorrect? Who knows. This pours a dark black with a thick tan head and a sheet of brown lacing. The nose is smoky with a sweet chewy roastiness and light acidity. The flavor is thin, but very roasty with plenty of chocolate and black patent. The finish is clean; thin and acidic. Not bad. Very irish.

Wonderfully black body with thick, exceptionally lush, creamy chocolate head. Quite rough, roasty nose, full of roasty barley and coffee. Creamy mouthfeel. Draught. Poured black with thin tan head. Little lacing. Aroma of roast, malt and toffee. Dry malty flavour with espresso coffee notes. Malty finish with a slight hop bite.
