Nice amber hue with a sticky white head. Some pine in the nose. Flavor is more pine, with some grapefruit hops and yeast. Malt is very subdued under the aggressive hopping, leaving the finish very dry. Not bad. truegen (167) - Puyallup, Washington, USA - FEB 14, 2009
22 oz. bomber. Pretty pour, with a decent head, both initially and in longevity. Some good lacing. Aroma is dry candy (think Necco wafers) and whiff of pine and hay. Flavor is intensely grassy, with a sharp, grungy bite along the sides and back of the tongue. The finish is pretty clean, mostly resinous pine and a hint of citrus. That middle of the mouth WTF drops this offering into my "it’s ok" category. Though not bad, it’s a bit disappointing. jigglyjock (165) - Longmont, Colorado, USA - APR 27, 2005
Aroma of piney peaches. Big head which is slighty off white and a nice whipped cream look. A red amber slash orange tint is the color of the body. The first flavors I get hit with is hops with a healthy bite. Then comes the sweet malt with a hints of orange rind in the backround. Palate is not as heavy as I really like in a good imperial IPA but is not too thin. Overall an ok double IPA, but could be a little more balance in the hop to malt ratio and a little more depth to the body palate. jmcguire1969 (163) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - APR 18, 2008
Frothy pale head with a dull aroma. The hops are there but the malts come through as well ...I prefer a hoppy aroma on a DIPA. cyanescens (159) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 6, 2007
When sipping, it has a very dry feel. Pine notes and grapefruit come through as the intitial flavors. They’re followed by bitterness that lingers a bit too long for my taste. There’s absolutely no indication on the palette that this is close to 8%. This is good enough to get you in trouble
I liked this beer. Medium body, typical IPA with alcohol present. Definately American style, dry, with mucho cascade hops present.

22oz. Pours a nice cloudy amber with an off white head that doesn’t stick around long. Some lacing, although it disappears quickly as well. Plenty of hops in the aroma...was able to discern pine and citrus. Flavor was nice with plenty of hops in the forefront. Definite grapefruit. Nice malt in their as well. Mouth feel is slightly sticky. Overall nice IPA...not as big though as I would expect from an Imperial. sbroome (149) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - APR 5, 2009
smells like socks and urine. tastes okay, like a typical hoppy IPA, but then the sour bitter aftertaste hits you and leaves you wishing you had a Maharaja instead. DiabolikDUB (147) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 19, 2009

Pours a bright orange with a finger of white head that seems sticky. Aroma is faint but primarily of sweet malts, bitter hops, and maybe some orange peel? Flavor is kind of watery upfront and lingers with a citrus hoppiness that turns bitter rather quickly. Very interesting not saying that I enjoy it all that much. Its medium bodied and very sticky. Its a decent beer but there are definitely better options from Full Sail. I did enjoy the on-tap tasting better than out of the bottle.
Pours a very pale amber with thin off white head. Nose is faint and slightly of rubbing alcohol, with some hoppiness. Flavor is blunt and bitter in an aspirin kind of way. Honestly I expected much better. harbuck76 (134) - El Cajon, California, USA - JUN 14, 2009
22 oz. Pours a orange with a average white head . Aroma is lacking here mild floral maybe pine, lemon.skunky.Taste is bitter with no malt to back it up. its not balanced. And its not for hopheads. Not a imperial ipa.
