22 oz. bomber. Sharp, somewhat astringent aroma. Nice shiny copper color. Underactive head. Kind of a sweet and sour type brew that seems to be attempting a balance of opposing forces. It doesn’t quite make it. The hops dominate and not in the best of ways. There’s not enough behind the hops to carry their strange presence in this beer. The Spot series just gets weirder with each entry.
2011 backlog. Bomber. Pours cloudy orange with a thin white head. The nose is perfumey hops and malt. The taste is fruity hops, toffee and a major bitter resin finish that lingers. Medium bodied. OK IPA but unbalanced. 3.2 jrob21 (3722) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Crisp and refreshing but a little light on the hops. Grass and herbal notes. Touch of grapefruit on the finish. Some toasty bread malts give this a little more of a unique malt body. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - JUL 16, 2013
July 2010. Bottle. Good hop balance, caramel, pine and floral notes. Amber color with a white head. Somewhat generic IPA, but I kinda like it. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 3, 2012
oz bottle $4. I usually buy the spot beers every summer but I may have been late on this one. Nice orange color but not much head. It smells a lot like their regular IPA but it does taste more hoppy with a bit of citrus but I’m not impressed by the malt profile. Now I am wishin g I had only bought one bottle instead of two but oh well.

One of my least favorite Full Sail’s so far. Light in hops, some butter flavor and a bit unbalanced. Still, very drinkable. Watery.

Pours sort of a cloudy darkish orange. Thick white head. Bit of a muddled apple aroma. Taste is an astringent bitter apple with a bit of a dry finish. A definite dumper IMHO

Hazed orange-amber with a medium tan head. Aroma of orange, citrus, grains, orange rind, pale malt and mild sulfur. Taste is tropical with orange, citrus, grapefruit, caramel and mild floral hops. Moderate lasting bitterness. DuffMan (10451) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 11, 2012
Bottle. Not sure of the freshness here, as my label says 2010. Hmmmm. Anyway, it pours out a hazy fairly bright orange with a medium off white head. No lace. Aroma is more malty than hoppy, sweet cereal, earthy veggie hop nuances. Not very appealing. The palate shows similar structure in that it features sweet cereal malts more prominently than aromatic hops. There is a lot of bitterness in here, but not much to elevate the palate. The hop character is more medicinal and astringent than anything. Not that great. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - DEC 25, 2011

bottle at azwine 10/27/10.
orange gold color with a small white head.
the aroma is earthy... kinda woody/dirty in the hop department along with orange, grass, florals and some vanilla?.
the flavor is the same but sweeter than ideal with a bitterish finish. meh. 6/3/6/3/3.1
