Light orange with a yellowed-newsprint head. Musty nose (not a good saison way) of rotten grapefruit rind. Yikes, that’s really off. The flavor is just a weak thin, slightly sour, slightly metallic IPA, but the nose makes it near to undrinkable.

Bottle:   Clear golden, moderate frothy white head, sparce lacing, light carbonation.   Astringent nose of hops and caustic biscuit maltiness.   Full Sail seems to have the same aroma for mos of their IPAs, and it never sits well with me.   Acrid hops and the aformentioned caustic biscuit like malt flavor.   The bitterness from this beer doesn’t come from the hops.   Seems grainy in a medicinal or chemical cleaner sense.   Don’t get me wrong, its not awful, but its not on my list of ever planning to drink again.   Also seems more of a Pale than an IPA, or at least 3/4 IPA.   Meh...

22oz bottle. Pours a clear copper gold with a medium white frothy head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is subdued - sweet malts and minty, grassy hops.

The flavor is a big watery bitterness, kind of charred with a little sweet biscuity malt. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation, slightly watery.

Overall, this was very subdued. I didn’t get much in the aroma, and although there was a lot of bitterness, there was not much real flavor.

Pee yellow in color. No head or lacing. Very light taste, no real hop or citrus. Very borring.

Pours clear orange with a large white head. Aroma is orange peels and grass. Flavor is bitter and grassy hops. Some orange and a hint of caramel. Finish is a long lingering bitterness. Slightly thin, and muddled by the over the top bitterness.

Pours sort of a cloudy darkish orange. Thick white head. Bit of a muddled apple aroma. Taste is an astringent bitter apple with a bit of a dry finish. A definite dumper IMHO ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a medium golden color. Nose is lacking in hops, a little grainy. Taste is atrocious, tastes like onions and sweat socks. Terrible.

Super crisp, clear orange coloured body with a very thin, fast-dying white head. Aroma of fresh hops, alcohol, malt, light apricots and TONS of metal and blood - not very nice smelling. Medium-bodied; Very assertive metal and strong alcohol flavours showing up front with some hops afterwards and a touch of dry bitterness at the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of metal, funky malt finishes and a bunch of bitter raisin/apricot flavours. Overall, not so great - the bitterness and off tastes override the hoppiness and the fruit that is picked up between the funky smells and the lingering aftertaste. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 01-July-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 02-September-2010.

22 ounce bottle from the Davis Food Co-op. Has the same husky, grainy Full Sail house character that I have become very bored with. Some spicy, grassy hop aromas come through...perhaps some Nelson Sauvin? Smells reminiscent of Anchor Humming, and that is not good. Just sorta swampy. Modestly hazy copper body (perhaps chill haze) with a good whitish head and nice lacing present. Starts sweet before this becomes toasting and cloyingly sweet, milky, and generally repulsive in the middle. Finishes with some spicy, grassy hops. Some floral notes are also in there. This is just entirely fucked up and reminiscent of vomit. What ever happened to Full Sail?
