On tap at the brewery. This stout was very thin tasting, even on nitro I was kinda thinking it tasted more like an english porter. Usually nitro beers get nice and smooth tasting, but it just lacked body and came out watery tasting. The roastiness was all there, chocolate up front with a gentle hopping in the finish. Nitro tap at the brewery. Black as night. Dense, creamy tan head prototypical of a nitro pour. Great lacing. Aroma of bittersweet chocolate and fully roasted grains. Full bodied, creamy. Coffee and dark chocolate flavors followed by a more than ample dosing of hop bitterness. Quite nice, I’m not sure this is unretired or an old keg. On Nitro. Solid standing creamy head on a black goodness (visually). Coffee tones, but understated. Nice bittered finish.

Chewy comes to mind. Nice dark color ... I wish I would comment further but the Brickskeller is a very dark place. Plenty of caramel in the head tone and aroma. Very robust and has that "meal" feel. Very dark brown color, medium head, roasted malt aroma. Roasted malts, fairly hoppy. Nice smooth taste, Roasted malts, somewhat sweet. Full round mouthfeel. Chocolaty finish, Robust yet smooth.
