A bit different than the average Red ale. A very wierd finish. A bit of a woody flavor. Just weird. A slight hoppy finish. I won’t buy this again kbjames (244) - Utah, USA - SEP 2, 2004
This is a decent middle tier beer that I will probably never buy again. Decent taste but nothing special at all PrinceofNessus (236) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - OCT 4, 2003
subtle citrus aroma my ass... the only thing subtle about this beer is it's quality, which I have yet to find. Smokey corn, with a bitter gaggin flavor sets up the beer, and the corney rotten mouth-puckering hops finishes off the flavor. NARSTY lemonlovr (190) - Orland Park, Illinois, USA - OCT 3, 2003
Sweet corny aroma but not to be confused with "sweet corn." In fact, the corn smell is somewhat rancid but is redeemed by the sweetness. The coloration is good, a coppery amber. Flavor is trange: sweet hoppiness up front that crashes and burns on the way down. A mediocre amber ale from an otherwise decent brewery. I.C.suds (189) - Da U.P. eh?, Michigan, USA - JUL 19, 2003
Deep amber with an off white head. Very sweet and smooth drinking. Could have a better finish but this is a good start. $7.19/6 is slightly pricy for this beer. I agree with BeerLimey the amber is better.

Interesting look, almost red. Yeah, it's thin, but I like the malts in there, I taste some caramel. I don't think full sail can make anything bad, but this is the weakest beer I've tried from them so far. Rentalman (103) - British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 7, 2004
(Bottle) Pours amber with a slight orange hue. Creamy white head with a Malty toasty carmel aromas with some sharpness of hops but not over powering. A very ballanced taste of maltyness and a bitterness growing on the tongue to the the finish and then almost completely dissapearing. Very smooth session beer. mobrew (19) - Oregon, USA - OCT 24, 2004
The malt/hop ratio is great and it has a slight hop lingering taste, but finishes very clean dubios (7) - Springfield, Oregon, USA - JUN 23, 2004 does not count
American Red Ale (Brown Ale)
Nice malty slight taste of maybe molasses or brown sugar.
Color correct good hop balence not to much. Could have a bit more roasted malt .
