A brown-black beer with a brown head. The aroma is primarily of chocolate, but also with hints of coffee. The flavor contains notes of roasted malt, lots of chocolate on a dry background. A nice porter. anders37 (26625) - Malmö, SWEDEN - AUG 10, 2011
Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate caramel aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 15, 2009
Bottle 65 cl. Comes as "Full Sail Imperial Porter" at 7% ABV. Pours black with a warm orange hue and a dense, creamy light brown head. Intense aroma of roasted malt and a little licorice. Medium body, hard roasted malt and some licorice. Somewhat oxidized with a tired mouthfeel. Light malt bitterness. A little over the top I believe. 110709

Post Borefts I Invasion of Fonefan and Charlottes room tasting! Opaque black porter. Good carbonation and a semi dry palate. Rich dark malt, slightly toasty and a somewhat bitter. An interesting contrast to the high carbonation! Finishes crisp!

Bottle at post Borefts BF 09 tasting. Black brown, lasting beige head. Really lovely choccy flavours. Awesome really. Really good choc. mcberko (17825) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 13, 2011
650mL bottle, pours black with a tan head. Despite this not being aged, the nose gives off a noticeable bourbon scent, wood, roasted malt and a bit of licorice. Flavour of rich roasted malt, dark espresso, charred / burnt malts and peat. Most wonderful. Oakes (17668) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 24, 2000
UPDATED: AUG 2, 2006 2005 brew, tasted on tap at the brewery in July 2006: Dark chestnut colour. The aroma shows chocolate, toffee, light fruit with a background fudgey maltiness. Smooth, sweet, with fruitcake, nuts and roast in this mellow (for the style) but surprisingly complex brew. Fruity, lightly chewy finish. Good, well-made, intro Baltic.
Rating from Jul ’03: Black. Aroma shows lots of hops, roast, black chocolate and malt, with faint nuts. Lively body features brown malts, chocolate, toast, orangey hoppiness and a dry, woody finish. Ar 8 Ap 5 F 7 P 4 O 15 = 3.9
