UPDATED: SEP 5, 2009 This was a bottle purchased from the brewpub in Hood River. Chilled to refrigerator temperature, this poured a beautiful rich golden amber with a small white head and not much lacing. Nose of banana and cloves. Medium mouthfeel. Favor is yeasty and full of fruit flavors. I liked it, seemingly, more than most as I scored it higher than average. poisoneddwarf (2511) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - NOV 29, 2009
Bomber. 2009 vintage. Smells of pepper, grain, faint banana esters. Pours golden with minimal head, mediocre lacing. Peppery taste; somewhat sweet. Ful-bodied with a nice tasty long finish. A bit sour in the aftertaste. Tastes like an American take on a Belgian style, but that’s not a bad thing. I enjoyed this beer quite a bit. Addendum: I had to change the score on this from a 4.0 to 3.7. The beer gets a little watery towards the end of the bottle. Still a fine beer, however. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 7, 2010
22oz bottle purchased for $3.50 at Davidson;s. I really like some of Full Sail’s brewmaster reserve beers so I thought "why not?". I poured this into a Chimay chalice. It was a light yellow-orange with a small white head. It was a little cloudy. The smell was slightly medicinal. The taste was a little sour but also fruity. I tasted banana and bubblegum. the alcohol was not noticeable at all. Pretty decent beer but i have no idea how it does against other beers in the style.

Vesuvius pours golden w/ a moderately full froth that dies quite quickly as a matter of fact. All that is left is a full dusty canopy and a fluffy ring. Aromas of sweet banana gum spice. Medium nectar w/ explosive residual effers. This brew has a very loose knit coton fiber texture. Like mesh or something. A sweet malty backbone supports a plethora of fruity dynamics. Just as I sniffed, banana gummy spice is dominant. Theres a defined yet mild earthy tone. Nuances of citrus, apple, cherry, nectarine, vanilla, kiwi, pine apple. This things loaded. One thing is clear, this is of Belgian character. The finish lingers w/ enough fruity tootie goodness to fill a bubble gum machine. Makes me want to poke my head out of a wall clock and scream coocoo coocoo coocoo. Better yet how bout’ barking at the morning light like a rooster. The bittering component is mild and peach pit in style. BDR (2534) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 27, 2007
Thanks to Akevitt. Light malty nose with a little yeast and psice. Gold color with a little head. Malty body with yeast and a little more spice than in the nose.

The brew decamps the 22 ounce bottle a somewhat hazy golden yellow with a modest and creamy bright white head, which wanes rather quickly leaving a thin veil of lace. Nose has a sweet malt aroma, hints of fruit, and citrus like, also banana tones, bread dough, a complex and appetizing nose to be sure. Start has a pleasing malt presence, sweet with fruit like sugars mild bitterness at the back, top feels light to moderate. Finish has a benign acidity, the hops mildly spicy in their bite, dry as a desert bone with the aftertaste hanging tough on the palate. This beer is another fine creation from one of my top five breweries of all time. cyanescens (159) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 28, 2007
Im suprised this beer got such a low rating. I thought it was a very unique brew and enjoyed it. Yeasty, bread flavors with strong alcohol notes and mild fruity sweetness. Golden yellow. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 19, 2009
Tap @ Saraveza... Poured golden with a white head and moderate lacing. Aroma of esters and spices. Medium body and very drinkable. Flavors of clove, yeast esters, banana and sweet spices. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 10, 2009

Bottle at the Funky 6. Pours gold with a moderate, white head. Strong malt aroma with yeast, spice and Belgian sugar. Sweet flavor, malty, with light yeast and fruit. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet with Belgian yeast notes. Good.
