Tap at Brouwers. Gold with a thin head and big bubbly carbonation. Clove and banana in the aroma. It really reminded me of a Bavarian wheat. Very yeasty. Light and fruity flavor. Very smooth. Very carbonated. I enjoyed this one more than most apparently.

Bomber. Pours a clear light amber with a white head supported by streams of carbonation. The aroma is spice-dominated, but there is a bit of fruit and lemon. Light body and active carbonation. The taste starts sweet with fruit, and maybe a touch of biscuit? The lemon and spice show up in the finish. An American Belgian named after an Italian landmark....hmmm. hopdog (12584) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 11, 2008
22oz bottle. 2005 Vintage. Poured a medium and clear golden / orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of apples, pears, light yeast, caramel, and spices. Spiced caramelized apples. Tastes of dough, fruity, yeast, and light spices. Tastes on the thinner side vs. the aromas. Alcohol content hidden. OldGrowth (3474) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - JAN 29, 2008
bottle, from trade with 5000. Good aroma. Sweet. Fruity, pear, apple, banana. Yeasty, coriander. Clean orangy gold color. Small head that faded quickly, little to no lace. Sweet flavor with a bite about it. Medium body, lite creamy mouthfeel, crisp bitter finish. Nice to drink. Just sipped slowly while watching TV. Aroma had a nice scent at it’s coldest. Flavor had a spiced bite about it. Not bad to this Rater. nuplastikk (6289) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 21, 2010
22oz bomber. Hazy, unfiltered golden-tan color. Thin, steady off white head. Sweet, sugary Belgified aroma. Doesn’t really do the style justice, very par to sub-par US version. A little bit thick, chewy, with some clove-like balance. Rich, with some alcohol laced fruit tones..banana, orange, tangerine. Lacks the effervescent mouthfeel and delicacy that can make the style great. Sort of goes for an Orval like thing, but doesn’t quite get there. OK.
