3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Another great winter brew. not as sharp or full-bodied as the dark strength of the WinterNakt, but a pleasent malty flavor, with a paletable aftertaste.
Bottle in Seattle. Dark amber brown, mostly clear, small head. Nice roasty malt aroma, solid English character. Dark ale sip, nicely metallic and slightly burnt malt. Cool character distracts some, I'd love this a little fuller bodied. Amber bitterness. Quite nice. tightslice (1450) - Redwood City, California, USA - JUN 12, 2017
Bottle from World Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is caramel, spiced plums. Taste is creamy caramel, fruity malts with a bitter, spiced woods-y finish. Excellent NW winter warmer. Travlr (26268) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 18, 2017
Bottle. Clear deep amber color, thick tan head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of burnt caramel. Taste is earthy toasted caramel. Warming. wombat23 (1837) - Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2016
Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with a beige head. Malt and spice on the nose. Taste is quite malty, with sweet caramel and holiday spices. darbeer75 (1046) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - DEC 20, 2016
Aroma: sweet and malty; Appearance: dark amber with thin white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: follows nose with dry, strong notes; Palate: heavy body with long, sweet finish; Overall: almost too sweet but underlying dryness saves it; will probably not get again, however.

Pours a nice medium-dark brown with very little head. Aroma is a bit malty and isn’t anything special. Flavor is a bit sweet on the nose and finishes with a bit of bitterness. The beer has a nice, hearty feel in the mouth, which is great for a winter beer. Overall this is a nice offering for a winter beer. chinchill (5343) - South Carolina, USA - NOV 22, 2016
12 oz bottle with a bottling date of October 2016. Capa (3500) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - NOV 17, 2016
Look: A deep mahogany colored body topped by a weak head. Minimal lacing,
Aroma: spicy, hoppy and malty
Flavor: follows aroma, with less spicing than the aroma suggests. More hops than expected for style (highly variable though it is).
Feel: full body; light carbonation.
Deep brown with a tan head. Malty, toasted, lightly sweet, lightly roasted, some spicy notes. Medium bodied. A very nice winter warmer. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 23, 2016
shortlasting light tan head... pretty good lacing lasts through most of the glass. Dark Dark brown ... but still nice and translucent. Fujimo2000 (202) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - JAN 9, 2016
Nutty biscuity brown malts dominated the nose ... like an less malty English old ale ... sort of expected low PNW/American hop balance.
Taste is the same with some lite cherry and raisin mixed ... not overly complex by any means, but still supremely drinkable.
Pours dark copper with off white lacing. Aroma and taste is caramel, winter spices but the finish is spruce.
