3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2013 22oz bottle. Pours slightly cloudy orangish amber with nicely laced creamy head. Aroma is citrusy hops with juicy sweet notes. Taste is rich caramel malt forward, with a restrained bitter finish. Not much IPA hoppiness here, but that’s typical for Full Sail. Not really a winter warmer either. Stylistically pretty close to an English bitter. Tasty and a nice seasonal treat.
Revisited 1 year later. Upgraded taste and overall ratings 1 tick each. This is too tasty to leave alone.
Bottle 12 ounce bottle poured to wine glass
Amber, slightly hazy, medium foam that slowly disappears
Smell: hoppy but not as hoppy as other northwest IPAs
Feel: good carbonation, good follow through, dry finish, bitter aftertaste
Overall: good beer, ok to repeat but not look for

Copper. Bright citrus with sweet malt. Finish is sweet and bright with light candied tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Very enjoyable. ttoadee (1536) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 21, 2016
Burnished copper pour, finger off white head. Nose is citrus and wood. Bitter. Middle is caramelized malt, orange zest, and floral notes. Finish is zippy and bitter. Nice beer. crispaire (242) - - DEC 4, 2016
poured a rich copper almond color. smelled and tasted holiday baked cookies, gingersnaps, raisins, and wine. had a nice malty backbone. medium body with average finish. ajnepple (6850) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 21, 2016
22 oz bottle shared, purchased at the Craft Beer Cellar - Fort Collins. A hoppy, spiced up red ale with moderate bitterness. Notes of caramel and musty hop resin. Not too bad, but probably dated.

The nose is a little herbal and peppery. Sort of like a leek. It has a decent body, a hint of biscuit that comes hidden amongst a surprisingly robust bitterness and white pepper spice. jefcon (1911) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - NOV 25, 2015
Really a nice combination of winter warmer and IPA. Not sure I could pick it out of a style lineup, but it’s bright, piney, citrus-y and it has a toffee/caramel finish. seehaferb23 (281) - - NOV 18, 2015
$3.99 at NW Growlers. Nice blend between two beers. Cheers to the holiday beers.

Bottle. Moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, moderate to heavy orange for the hops, light musty for the yeast, with a hint of date in the background. Head is small, frothy, off-white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky amber orange. Flavor starts moderately sweet and moderately acid, then finishes moderately acidic and heavily bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, slick, with a lively carbonation and a moderately astringent and a mildly sticky finish. A nice citrusy hopped IPA with a warm feel for the beginning of the holiday season. AnokaBrewer (208) - Anoka, Minnesota, USA - MAY 11, 2015
Pours a golden amber color with very little head. Aroma of citrus and hops.
While it said it was a holiday beer, I believe that was more due to release date than any spice or added flavorings to the beer, as I really didn’t pick up on any. It was a very good strong IPA.
