Some citrus and some green onion. Pours hazy orange with good head and lacing. Good balance like Pisa towers. Bitter finish with some tang. Bottle. GenDV138 (7284) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - FEB 6, 2014
Bottle poured into a nonic pint glass. Pours a clear amber with just under a finger off-white head. Aromas of citrus, light dankness, pine, floral. Tasting notes of floral, pine, caramel, grapefruit citrus, resiny hops. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. I’ve heard mixed reviews on this but it tastes pretty good to me. Bottle. At first blush this doesn’t impress as anything special. It looks, smells and feels like any of a jillion other APAs out there. But on the palate, this has an above average spicy kick in a fully flavored and well bodied ale. This could be a fridge beer. (#5429, 2/7/2014)

Bottle. Pours a clear dark copper body under a small fizzy off-white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is really nice as far as the hops go, citrusy and bright. The malt comes across as a bit heavy on the caramel in the aroma though. The flavor is overly sweet though, lots of brown sugar and burnt caramel up front, and it really lingers on the finish. There’s a fair amount of bitter and citrusy hops in here for an APA, but they just get dominated by the malt. Medium bodied and a bit sticky with fizzy carbonation. Meh, too much sweetness in here. Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
A one finger white foamy head appears a top of a slightly clear red/amber body. The head gently dissipated to a fil after about a minute.
The smell had a light earthy / citrus sweet hoppines over top of some light sweet caramel malts.
The taste was basically balanced between the hops and malts.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it.
Overall, this was a worthy beer of having again. sonnycheeba (5988) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 9, 2013
