Can (5,4%) from Systembolaget. Black with no real head. Aroma is a mixture of coffee and chocolate. An ok taste, somewhat roasted. Decent finish. Classic Porter-style beer. Not the best, not the worst. Pleasant!

Bottle. I must say, I'm not sure I understand the hype. It is a decent porter, it is not very sweet, you can get the Fuggle hops in there and still that deep malty, sometimes smoky flavour as well as grassy caramel. But I think there are much smoother, more deep and flavourful porters out there.

From Oct 2005 Served from the 18.6 oz bottle, best by date of Feb 14, 2005 so....I'll try to get a fresher sample next time(Have had fresh samples before) and do an update if needed. Pours extremely dark brown with a medium sized head that shrunk until there was only a fine layer on the top. The smell was all coffee and chocolate to me. The taste was the same as the smell only reinforced. Lovely malty, chocolaty, coffee thing going on that made drinking this a real pleasure. Time doesn't seem to have hurt this one too much at all.

Luneylane (282) - Taipei City, TAIWAN - OCT 15, 2017
A bottle from Jason's near NCCU, drunk at home. Aroma: caramel. Appearance: hazy cola, head dissipates to nothing. Palate: medium-bodied and slick, soft carbonation, sweet and flavoursome finish. Taste: medium sweet and bitter, lots of coffee, a bit of chocolate. Very nice beer.

Deep chocolate/coffee flavor without being sweet or artificial tasting in any way. Lovely bottle, I will be looking for this from now on!
