4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from one of the supermarkets. A clear dark brown pour with a thin white long-lasting head with some sticky lace. Sweet malty aroma leads into a lovely rich malty citrusy flavour with a hint of caramel. The combination of hops works well and sits nicely on the palate. This is a gorgeous, rich, refreshing ale that I really need to enjoy more often.

Brun öl med ett beige skum. Doft av malt, mörkt socker, torkad frukt och alkoholsötma. I smaken tillkommer nötighet och humlebeska.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma - intense, sweet and floral, with lot of flowers, caramel and quince jam in the first plan, then honey and caramelized fruits with some delicate alcohol. Taste - very complex, with medium intensity and very well balanced, with lot of caramelized fruit jam, honey quince jam, then a soft bitterness and a bit of alcohol in the final/aftertaste. Very delicious and very pleasant.

A lovely premium ale. Nice burnt coffee notes on the palate, a beautiful aroma. Will definitely seek out more of Fuller’s in the future.

2016 catch up - Bottle at home - A bitter "with the volume turned up." Hops, malt and alcohol all present in abundance, plus a slight, but welcome sweetness. Lovely mouth feel and a good lingering flavour. Very good, but quite rich.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From old tasting notes. Copper red color topped by a huge thick rocky beige head.maromatic malt nose reminiscent of toffee and brown sugar. Bittersweet caramel malt flavor hints at burnt sugar. There Ias a bitter hop finish that balances this ale nicely. A long chewy malty aftertaste completes this complex flavorful ale.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sample @"Malt, mat&destillat" Sthlm. Amber, white head. Aroma is very intense with malts, raisins, fruit. Taste is nutty and not overly sweet, but adds to the complexity of the overall impression of this lovely beer. With its well balanced English hops, this is an outstanding beer in my book.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 4, 2017 (500 ml bottle) Dark amber-brown beer, bottle conditioned, with a small, off-white head. Full-bodied and smooth mouthfeel. Aroma of nuts, dried fruit, honey on toast, candied peel, toffee, soy sauce, and a warming hint of alcohol. The hops are muted by massive malty flavours, but some clove esters shine through. Finishes mildly bitter, with a slight pine-sap afternote.
Very pleasant English Strong Ale, to be sipped slowly.

Amber with a beige head. Dark dried fruit aroma. Malt sweetness is balanced by hop bitterness and drying alcohol. Fruity and nutty. Gets better as it warms up.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Strong ale da bel colore bruno- ramato. Aromi dominati dal malto con una nota di frutta rossa. In bocca i sapori principali sono di caramello e pane tostato. Luppolatura presente solo nel finale donando un retrogusto piacevolmente amarognolo.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
0.5 L bottle. Pours clear, dark bronze color, with a small, fleeting, beige head. Toasted caramel aromas, with some smoke, syrup, plums, leather, and earth. Sweet and malty, with a sharp, sticky bitterness. Heavy body, smooth, and a little sticky. This is a malty, sticky, and aggressively hopped beer. Like a smoother and more friendly version of Arrogant Bastard.
