16.9 oz bottle. Pours a pretty slightly hazy copper with a medium cream-colored head with good retention; leaves some groovy lace. Aroma is caramelly with some earthy hops underneath. Taste is toasty and caramel sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is a little thin, mouthfeel creamy. Not bad, but probably the least impressive Fuller’s beer I’ve had.

Delicious. Tastes of toffee/caramel and dark fruits. Darkish amber in colour. Caramel on the nose.

Výborné pivo po všech stránkách. Příjemná chuť, karamelové aroma, silnější říz a jemná pěna.

From Saveur Biere. In Teku glass. Watching Stranger Things 1x05. Really, and dangerously drinkable. Superb feel and a nice brown sugar and toffee profile in both nose and mouth, with strong bitterness at end

Bottle 500 ml from Waitrose. Aromas of burnt malts, caramel and "earth" (not sure how to describe this better). Leaves a big beige white head and a beautiful chestnut dark red body. Taste is bitter and creamy with burnt malts and notes of caramel. Leaves a pleasant, bitter aftertaste. Good autumn ale.

De geur is heel vol en rijk. Een mooie schuimkraag. Er is wat van koffie in de smaak terug te vinden. Valt goed mee

metalspice (1048) - Jevnaker, NORWAY - SEP 30, 2017
Brunt øl med fint skum. Forholdsvis søt med mye karamell og korn. Også lette florale og fruktige preg. Mye bra, men litt skarp.

Bottle 50cl. @home poured into a teku glass. Clear deep amber, frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, good lacing; aroma toasted malts, cocoa, caramel, dark fruits; taste medium sweet and bitter, roasty, caramel, chocolate, touch of treacle; roasty sweetbitter aftertaste, light fruity and chocolate notes; medium body, oily texture, average carbonation; very nice, smooth and well-balanced.

Nice mix between sweet and dry. Lovely texture smooth going down. Very nice bottled conditioned strong ale. Doesn’t fall for the trap of being too sweet. Reveals further complexities. It’s really good actually. Perfectly balanced.

Bottle from Village Vintners, Pyrford. A fruity, berry laced aroma, with a boozy hit. Caramel brown. Frothy off-white head, which doesn’t last too long before shrinking. Initially sweet before a bitterness appears and gains in strength. Fruit, of the stewed variety. Berries. Spices. Caramel. Booze. Medium-heavy bodied. Oily. Average carbonation. Low key finish, with some warmth to it. Had this a few years ago and did n’ t like it, but now I can’t get enough of these warming boozy ales.

Flanfl (816) - Lyon, FRANCE - JUL 29, 2017
Clear copper body. Medium white head. Aroma of caramel, fudge, dried fruits. Flavours of sweet malt, caramel, fudge, dried fruits, nuts. Nutty caramely slightly bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
